Has the Shipment obsession finally passed?

The tiny Call of Duty map has featured in the series no less than six times, and four of those have been in back-to-back-to-back-to-back years (Modern Warfare, Cold War, Vanguard, and MW2).

So has the bubble finally burst? Well, it seems that way, as fans are now vocally petitioning that the "boring" Shipment map stays well away from Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 fans say 'no' to Shipment

Possibly unbeknownst to these Call of Duty fans, Shipment has been leaked to arrive in Modern Warfare 3 quite early as part of a CoD 4 throwback season.

Yet fans do not want it. For four years, the levelling-up simulator has been a fan-favourite, allowing players to grind camo's easily and unlock attachments for Warzone guns.

But fans are now saying "no" to its inclusion in MW3.

"I will stand on the mountain alone and say no its one of the most boring, repetitive maps ever made. I get the camo grind on it but its so mindless and unattractive to play on," said one fan on Twitter (X).

Another added, "How about some new maps …. Yes, the old maps are good but they’ve been over done a million times now I want new stuff," pointing out that there is already way too many remasters.

Would Shipment be a miss if it's left out of Modern Warfare 3?

Of course, there was some pushback from fans who are used to using the hectic map for easy camo grinds, and combined with Rust, it could be a recipe for success.

"A shipment/rust/shoothouse playlist 24/7 would go crazy," one fan argued.

Yet the vocal majority has claimed that Shipment has passed its prime, and there are plenty of other small maps that could easily take its place this year.

Maybe it really is time for something new.
