During your adventure through Elden Ring and the magnificent landscape of the Lands Between, you'll encounter countless formidable foes. Bosses like Godfrey, Mohg, Dragonlord Placidusax, and Malekith are guaranteed to be a mighty challenge for the majority of players.

Despite this, no boss is more difficult than Malenia Blade of Miquella, all on account of her unbelievable damage output and unrelenting aggression. Her devastating set of moves means some players will get stuck on the fight for months and will often give up altogether.

Well, one 8-year-old has defied the odds and finally managed to defeat Malenia after weeks of attempts, making them one of the youngest players to ever take her down in Elden Ring.

Taking to the Eldenring subreddit, user thatguyinarobe shared that their 8-year-old son finally managed to defeat Malenia. After weeks of failed attempts, he didn't give up on the fight and managed to take down the formidable boss in style.

As his dad, thatguyinarobe admitted that their "biggest thanks is that he beat her so I didn't have to (he plays on my account)... I haven't played in over a month because I got tired of fighting her."

At just eight years old, he believes his son may be the 'youngest player to beat Malenia' and he's proud they had the 'willpower' to carry on despite dying hundreds of times.

Asking users in the thread to 'give a hand' to his son, a lot of Elden Ring players showed their support with one even saying, "Little man is going places."

What strategy did they use to defeat Malenia?

In terms of the strategy they used to defeat Malenia, thatguyinarobe revealed their son had the Mimic Tear Ashes. This effectively creates an exact copy of your character and what they're wearing. On top of this, they used the Bloodhound's Fang weapon as well as Ice Grease to buff its power.

This is, without a doubt, an impressive achievement for an 8-year-old, and it's definitely possible they're the youngest-ever player to beat Maleina in Elden Ring. If we were Hidetaka Miyazaki, we'd get that little lad on board for the inevitable Elden Ring sequel.
