The Call of Duty franchise has smashed its way into mainstream media ahead of the Modern Warfare 2 launch - airing adverts on TV and 3D Times Square billboards. Now, in a bid to ramp up the hype for the colossal release, Call of Duty has teamed up with a range of brands to offer rewards.

After years of promoting Call of Duty releases through collaborations with the likes of Doritos, Activision has now announced a trifecta of partnerships this year.

Mountain Dew, Papa Johns, And Little Caesars have all signed the dotted line on deals with Activision that will see them offer in-game rewards with each purchase of their products.

Mountain Dew Launch Modern Warfare 2 Skin Campaign

The first (and biggest) of the deals comes with Mountain Dew, the drinks brand that has previously bargained with PUBG and previous Call of Duty titles. The energy drink company will be offering a multitude of Double XP tokens with each drink purchased. Redeeming codes will also unlock some more in-game rewards.

A Mountain Dew Operator skin will be instantly unlocked in Modern Warfare 2 after redeeming a code, which will also be available to use in Warzone 2

Starting in November, fans can also unlock a limited Circle K player card in MW2 too, after purchasing a Mountain Dew from one of their stores.

Papa Johns and Little Ceasars Pizzerias Offering MW2 Tokens

Both Papa Johns and Little Caesars pizzerias will be dropping Double XP tokens for Modern Warfare 2, although there won't be a cheese and tomato-based operator coming in these deals.

Papa Johns (UK only) has announced a limited-time deal which includes a pizza and its very own Call of Duty-themed "Black Ghost" chilli chicken wings, which will earn you an in-game Emblem, Calling Card, and Weapon Charm.

Little Caesars will offer similar results in the United States too, with Double XP tokens on the table, served alongside a pizza of your choice. So, if you're thinking of ordering in, why not opt for something that will allow you to get some savvy head-starts on Modern Warfare 2?
