It's time to revisit the simple paradox between the chicken and the eggs-traordinary grandmother: which is more precious, the Skyrim Chicken or Skyrim Grandma?

We all know rule number one of Skyrim is that you don't go killing the Skyrim chicken. You can cast unearthly runes on the Falmer, send those dastardly Centurian Dwarves back to Blackreach, or even betray morals by slaying Parthanaax the beloved Dragon, but you don't touch the damn chickens.

However, rivalling them for the most adorable aspect of the game in the Skyrim Grandma, and after taking a break in 2020, she's back with a new lease of life and is even set to feature in The Elder Scrolls VI

Shirley Curry, known for being the eldest and most adorable player that has graced Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls V title, currently has roughly 929,000 subscribers on YouTube. Having first joined the platform to follow other accounts, she quickly gained her own fans and began to upload content starting on Civilisation 2, before making the switch to Skyrim.

A full decade after her introduction to YouTube, Shirley has one of the biggest accounts dedicated to the game.

It was previously announced that she will also feature in The Elder Scrolls VI (6), with Bethesda revealing back in 2018 that she will have her own dedicated character.

Previously, Shirley had taken a break from making her content following upsetting comments on her videos. Back in May she made a vlog post explaining her exasperated attitude towards irritating and hurtful comments that often stem from people trying to dictate how she should play.

The beauty of Skyrim is that there are endless possibilities on how to play, whether you're a sneaky archer or prefer the brute wing of a battleaxe. In the video, she explained “I don’t have to be reminded and told [how to play] all the time” regarding the feedback. She added, “I look at all the games, I’m a gamer, if I wanted to play them I would be playing them”.

However, Shirley is now back and slaying her way through Tamriel once again. In her recent uploads, she headed to Glenmoril Caven to hunt down witches heads with her Orchish Bow of Terror and two steady servicemen.

With so much of Skyrim to explore, Shirley likes to take a calculated and steady approach to missions, utilising her in-game followers and extensive arsenal.

Heading into 2021, she remains just shy of 70,000 subscribers away from reaching the 1 million mark, what can surely be her main goal for the year alongside completing more of Skyrim's pesky miscellaneous missions.

At the age of 85, keep slaying Skyrim Grandma, we can't wait to see you hit the one million milestone.
