It looks like Capcom knows you want a Dino Crisis remake, but good luck getting one.

Dino Crisis Fans Demand A Remake From Capcom

Up there with Konami seemingly forgetting that Castlevania exists, we think it's a crying shame that Capcom continues to sleep on Dino Crisis. Even Shinji Mikami admitted he was surprised by the popularity of the Dino Crisis but then continued to dash our hopes of seeing a revival anytime soon.

Looking back at 1999's Dino Crisis, it's fair to say it feels like something of a Resident Evil reskin with dinosaurs. However, while the Resiverse has continued to take a bite out of the charts, Dino Crisis has been extinct since 2003's disappointing Dino Crisis 3.

Capcom trolls us with Dino Crisis

The official Capcom X account has once again acknowledged Dino Crisis, only to twist the knife that we likely aren't getting a revival. It recently toyed with our emotions by celebrating the franchise's 25th anniversary and announcing a new Resident Evil instead. This time, it's Dino Crisis 2's 24th anniversary.

2000's sequel is often praised as being superior to the OG, with fans praising this more action-heavy game that moved further away from the feel of Resident Evil and used a number of concepts that were scrapped from the first game. At this point, we'd take a Dino Crisis remake, a DC2 remake, revival, or anything.

Looking at the comments, it's clear gamers feel the same. One fan pleaded, "Remake it and I’ll personally buy 10 copies 😎," while another added, "A remake of the 1st 2 games would be awesome Capcom." A third begged, "Capcom please.... Where is the remake of Dino Crisis Do you hate your Dino Crisis fans 😔."

The Dino Crisis situation gets even weirder when you remember the bizarrely dino-centric Exoprimal. Mikami claims he doesn't understand how players can join the dots, but with Exoprimal even having a red-haired character that could've passed for Dino Crisis' Regina, we don't see how they couldn't.

We don't know what Capcom's beef with Dino Crisis is, but with Mikami confusingly telling us it likely won't return because Monster Hunter fills that gap in the market (yep, we don't understand it either), you might need your own time machine to go back and convince the devs to revive the dormant IP.
