Warzone is, in many ways, an exploiter's paradise.
The Call of Duty game has suffered from a cheating problem almost from day one, and ever since, Raven Software has struggled to fend off the hackers for years. The game has garnered a name for itself as a hacker's haven, and it likely won't be able to fend it off until Infinity Ward's sequel to the game is announced later this year.
And now, the game has had to remove vehicles entirely to prevent a huge exploit in the game.
Warzone Removes Vehicles After Huge Glitch
Vehicles have been removed from Warzone entirely, and it's thought that the reason is to pack in a huge glitch that is letting players into the massive vault without actually having to try.
"We have temporarily disabled vehicles on Rebirth Island while we investigate an issue," Raven said on Twitter, without ever mentioning what the issue in question actually is. Suspicious.
Fans have speculated that this can't be for any reason other than to quell the golden vault glitch - and for good reason, as it's pretty massive.
What Is The Golden Vault Glitch?
The glitch that players are suspecting has caused the vehicles on Rebirth Island to be removed entirely is allowing players to get into the map's golden vault, filled with huge sums of high-tier loot.
As revealed in a video posted to Twitter, all it takes for players to get into the vault is for one player to get in a vehicle and repeatedly crash into their teammate standing at the door of the vault. A few tries in the video sees the player glitch into the building, leaving them able to grab all the good loot without having to put in the work to actually get the door open.
It's interesting that Raven has zeroed in on this glitch to such a degree that vehicles have been removed entirely, but it's not exactly new from them.
Another day, another glitch to fix - and eventually, cases like this are going to overwhelm the team. Here's hoping that Warzone 2 can take over beforehand.
