Call of Duty has developed a bit of a name for itself as a hacker's haven. Not exactly what they were going for, we imagine.

It may be Warzone that does most of the heavy lifting for the unpleasant reputation of the series, but that doesn't mean that its current mainline title Vanguard doesn't get its fair share of criticism too. The game can still be pretty buggy, suffering from many of the same pitfalls as Warzone.

It's a shame, especially as Call of Duty charges so much for their games, and after-the-fact for micro-transactions. But now, we've got a new reason to be miffed - as a glitch is giving players wall hacks. Brilliant.

Vanguard Bug Gives Players Wall Hacks

A brand new bug has been found in Call of Duty: Vanguard that is accidentally giving players the ability to see other players through walls. The glitch was discovered by Twitter user iF0RL0, and its discovery could have serious competitive repercussions if it isn't patched out soon.

The bug sees the player use a Glide Bomb, a weapon that marks out enemy players with a big red circle - and once they've properly used it and the bomb touches down, they return to the first-person view. But when they do, the red circles remain and make it easy for them to see foes through walls.

It's a big problem, and if it isn't patched out soon, could cause some serious problems in the game's meta.

But, sadly, that's not all.

This Bug Has Been Around For Weeks

According to the replies to the video shared on Twitter by Dexterto, this bug seems to have been around for some time. "I had this happen to me a few weeks ago and I was so confused," says one reply.

The original poster, iF0RL0 also replied to the tweet, suggesting that it "happened twice in the same game also," meaning that this wasn't simply a one-off. The bug seems to be pretty widespread, which isn't good for the reputation of the game.

Here's hoping that the bug gets a fix soon, otherwise players are just going to be grinding for Glide Bombs in hopes that it'll give them the accidental wall hacks. And god knows the last thing Vanguard needs is to be branded a cheater's paradise.
