"With the world so set on tearing itself apart, it doesn’t seem like such a bad thing to me to want to put a little bit of it back together," said the infamous Desmond Doss, the greatest pacifist in Hollywood history.

The Hacksaw Ridge medic saw no need for guns in a time of warfare when so many bullets were already flying, and that ethos has now started being reflected by Call of Duty players.

One player, in particular, has laid down all weapons and has instead opted to become the ultimate Desmond Doss. Albeit with more of an objective focus rather than healing, as they have gone viral for hitting 10th Prestige without a single kill.

Modern Warfare 3 player hits 10th Prestige without a single kill

Reddit user u/Pilgore1 has taken to the platform to show off their Combat Record stats, which have left fellow players with their jaws on the floor.

In a post titled "Even pacifists can reach 10th prestige," the player has revealed that they got to Prestige 10 by having a flatlined 0.00 kill-to-death ratio. It indicates that they have never maimed an enemy but managed to fly through 500 levels in three days' worth of playtime.

The method to the madness involved playing the objectives flawlessly, "Shooting down everything and spamming UAV/CUAV (and sometimes EMP or Advanced UAV) all match," and using a Riot Shield to stay alive long enough to accrue scorestreaks.

Their loadout consisted of a Riot Shield and an LMG "for shooting killstreaks," DDOS, and Decoy grenades. The latter had to have been thrown carefully, given that they could theoretically kill an enemy with the 30 damage points awarded to a direct hit.

Having shared the achievement on Reddit, players were left flabbergasted, mainly at their patience, luck in not getting accidental kills, and speed in achieving Level 500.

"I'm actually mind blown looking at this... you didn't kill ONE MAN," exclaimed one fan, admiring the work of staying a pacifist through 486 games.

The user also revealed that they have 9003 deaths in their surge to level 500, with a colossal average score of 541 per minute.  "This is a whole different stat achievement I never would have anticipated in a FPS lmao," added another.

There might be a loophole in this, though... think of all of those UAV plane pilots that they shot down... Desmond Doss would never.
