Call of Duty’s new Alone skin is even more horrifying than we first thought
If you thought MW3's Alone BlackCell skin was terrifying enough, that's nothing when you realise the lore behind this three-headed monster.

Modern Warfare 3 is about to be buried alive, but as we ready ourselves for the horrors of Black Ops 6, last year's Call of Duty is here to prove it ain't dead yet. Hoping to bow out in style, Season 6 is packed full of frights and firearms, bringing back the beloved The Haunting event.
While not everyone is sold on the idea of shelling out $30 just to give Michael Myers a blue jumpsuit, there is one reason players are dashing to pick up the Season 6 BlackCell battle pass. This premium track of rewards might cost a pretty penny, but we've got to admit the new 'Alone' skin is pretty horrific (in the best way).
Modern Warfare 3's Alone skin has some terrifying lore
MW3 and Warzone Season 6's BlackCell pass brings Alone to the fold. As arguably the most horrifying CoD skin yet (sorry, Art the Clown), it's a three-headed version of Ghost with masks from his appearances in various Modern Warfare games.
Described as a "three-headed, zombified mutation," the Alone Operator looks like something Edward Richtofen might've cooked up in the lab. Popular CoD account DETONATED spotted that it's not just Ghost who's being honoured in this nightmarish creature, with body parts belonging to Soap, Price, and Gaz.
The CoD Fandom Wiki notes another in there, pointing to Farah's headband hanging from Alone's belt. It's a haunting homage to Task Force 141, but others wanted to take it one step further as someone else suggested, "They should’ve added their heads too, not just Ghost ones."
There was plenty of praise for Alone, as another added, "This is a disgustingly beautiful operator skin. I like it," and a third concluded, "Finally, it’s not gold!! W👌🏻." Still, not everyone loved it, as one critic grumbled, "This is a physical representation of the grotesque, barely recognizable slop that CoD has become over the years. How fitting."
Away from those who don't like the look of Alone and are questioning how its headshot hitbox will work, others are boycotting buying any of the upcoming skins. Treyarch is trying to return to a boots-on-the-ground approach that will get rid of outlandish skins, meaning Carry Forward has been axed ahead of Black Ops 6.
Even though you'll be able to use Alone in MW3 multiplayer and Warzone, the fact that none of The Haunting skins will be playable in Black Ops 6 hasn't gone unnoticed. It seems a shame that the designers have actually put some thought into the Season 6 spooktacular, but even if you hate BlackCell, you've got to admit the Alone Operator is pretty gnarly.
