Rumours about the upcoming Call of Duty game are continuing to mount as we edge closer to release.

Though we've probably got some time to wait before the game gets an official reveal, that certainly hasn't stopped leakers and dataminers poking around - going so far as to leak the upcoming sequel to Warzone and the fact that the next Call of Duty is a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare reboot, all before they were properly unveiled.

And now, we've got another potential look at the upcoming mainline title - and it looks like Infinity Ward is trying to open the franchise open to everyone.

Call Of Duty 2022 To Cater To All Playstyles

In a now-deleted tweet, popular Call of Duty dataminer and leaker RalphsValve suggested that the upcoming game won't be putting a heavy focus on one kind of playstyle, making way for a game that's fair for everyone regardless of how they choose to play.

"I'd like to place emphasis on one thing," he begins. "Infinity Ward isn't leaning toward a single particular style of play - Modern Warfare II is an all-inclusive title, it'll facilitate all playstyles; fast and slow."

This could end up rolling into the proposed UI overhaul that the new Call of Duty is set to experience, too, divulging from the menu design that the franchise has stuck with for a few years.

What Could This Mean For Modern Warfare 2?

This revelation could mean a multitude of things - but the most likely steps that Infinity Ward are taking to make the game inclusive of different playstyles is introducing a particularly easy mode in its campaign, and map design in multiplayer that makes for a fun experience whether you're a long-range sniper or up-close-and-personal SMG user.

Call of Duty has kept up versatile map design for the most part over the years, but it'll still be interesting to see what they've got planned to make sure that everyone can enjoy the return to the Modern Warfare series.

Call of Duty seems interested in covering all bases, as though they needed a much bigger audience. Either way, we're excited to see how the game turns out - for all players everywhere.
