If it's not mil-sim it's not worth having, right? Well unfortunately Call of Duty has long left the casually beige and brown cargo pants in the past and much prefers money-making crossovers and eccentric skins.

One of the most divisive skins is the Rat Operator though, where a massive whiskered head bobs around the screen like Rob Stark's post-Red Wedding corpse, completely taking out immersion and realism for a couple of laughs.

But after quite a large number of trolling fans have dipped $20 deep into the wallets to buy the skin, Call of Duty is now controversially giving it away for free

The WSOW Rat Pack bundle was first introduced to celebrate the ratty plays in the World Series of Warzone, which is the pinnacle event in the battle royale game where players will often lurk in shadows to get all-important placement points, like a rat.

However, after originally hitting the stores for a whopping $20, the exact same Rat Pack bundle is now being promoted as the Prime Gaming giveaway, meaning you can collect it for free with an active membership.

The news follows the conclusion of the WSOW qualifiers on Twitch and comes before the live finals in September.

With the skin now coming in free for Prime Gaming subscribers, Call of Duty fans have taken to social media to slam the decision and start demanding refunds.

"I was waiting for one skin to come out. And I had the CP for it and that was the only skin I was going to buy, and now it's free," said one fan on Twitter, who splashed their CoD savings on the bundle prior to its free release.

"So any refunds on people who spent money on it? What a f**king scam," added another. "Great, I wasted $20," "Can't make this stuff up lmao," and "Screw you since I had to pay for this," added other fans.

We're certain that there is about to be a rat takeover on both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, alongside a well-hung Black Noir skin, both of which will be equally as annoying to play against.
