Call Of Duty PS Skin

After years of holding hands with PlayStation, the Call of Duty franchise was destined to distance itself from Sony's platform as its biggest rival, Microsoft, bought Activision and all the games that come with them.

The Xbox overlord might've signed on the dotted line to share Call of Duty for at least a decade, but it has continued to honour the pre-existing exclusivity deal for certain skins. But that deal is now over, and Microsoft is clowning the PlayStation gang with the final PlayStation-exclusive skin.

Call of Duty's last PlayStation exclusive is a clown

With Black Ops 6 on the horizon, Xbox will be taking control as it promises an equal playing field for all users. The power change has already seen the Beta weekends become multi-platform after previously held one week of PlayStation exclusivity.

But to mark the end of the era, the final PS-only bundle will feature a on-theme Halloween clown, joining the likes of Art from The Terrifier and Michael Myers.

Calliope the Clown is free for all PlayStation Plus members and will be available for the remainder of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone (even after the Black Ops 6 integration).

The bundle includes the Freak Show Operator, two blueprints named "Laughing Stock" (SMG) and "Carnival Killer" (AR), an Emblem, a sticker, and a weapon decal.

With this rather blue chapter coming to an end, players have bid farewell to the PS exclusives, praising the skin itself but thankful that everyone is back on the same level.

"Goodbye exclusivity you won’t be missed," said one comment. Another doubled down, saying, "It's a clown! Just like the PS players upset the deal is ending," while a third concluded, "Greatest news ever." For now, it looks like the joke is on Sony.

Despite Xbox controlling Call of Duty, there has yet to be any news of exclusive Black Ops 6 content for Microsoft stans, although the Game Pass addition is more than enough to appease them.
