Back when Verdansk stood as the battlefield of choice in Call of Duty: Warzone, its underground tube system was a huge credit to the map. Though many players preferred the added pressure of dashing into the incoming circle of gas, the Warzone fast travel mechanic was incredibly handy, and frankly, pretty fun to use.
Arguably the best bit about the old Warzone fast travel, is that every time you used it, there was a chance that someone was waiting on the tube platform ready to ambush you when you got off. And players have started to miss it now that the fight has come to Caldera. But it looks like those fans might not be without fast travel for much longer.
Does Call Of Duty: Warzone Have Fast Travel?
Well, it's about time. Coming to Warzone alongside this week's new Classified Arms Reloaded update, the brand-new fast travel system puts minecarts under the map to use from 14 different access points. The newest Warzone fast travel system can be accessed from across the map, with Caldera displaying vault door symbols at its access points.
This new means of traversing the Pacific island is a little more advanced than Verdansk's trains in one way, as each of the access points has display boards that will light up with indications of where exactly is already swallowed by the closing ring. It's a nice touch, which is bound to give players a chance to keep themselves alive a little longer.
The official blog post explains, "Remember that rumbling and creaking beneath Caldera’s surface before Season Three’s launch? Those were the rickety mine carts being rediscovered by intrepid explorers, who were busy opening a new way to get around the island!" Much like how Fortnite plans ahead, the devs have clearly been tinkering away below the surface.
Where Can You Access Warzone's Fast Travel?
The fast travel system in Caldera is pretty well dispersed, giving players the chance to find a minecart wherever they drop. The Underground Transit System's 14 access points will be highlighted on the Tac Map and minimap, so basically, you can't miss them. If you've kept your eyes open, you'll spot seven of the points are Season 2's "hidden" Nebula 5 bunkers.
The spots to fast travel from will be at Arsenal, Docks, Runway, Ruins, Mines, Peak, Beachhead, Lagoon, Airfield, Fields, Sub Pen, Power Plant, Capital, and Resort. This is a long-overdue addition that'll help to keep gameplay fresh - but there's no doubt that the stations are going to be incredibly hot for a while. We suggest you steer clear for a bit if you want to keep your head.
