Busted Warzone glitch is drowning players

You might want to stay out of the water in the Warzone, as a game-breaking glitch is randomly drowning anyone who enters the rivers of Vondel.

The underwater mechanics in Warzone have been under fire in recent weeks, as players have lambasted the murky visuals of the canals and rivers in Modern Warfare 2 compared to those seen in the 2015 Black Ops 3.

However, it seems like the water has been listening to our complaints. Instead of clearing up to become more opaque, it's actually getting quite choppy and is now trapping players in random currents until they drown. The water is fighting back, and Warzone players are being drowned to death by angry waves.

Vondel's rivers are killing Warzone 2 players

With water combat becoming more prevalent this year, especially as a way to escape victims given the levels of dirt that mask your operator, Warzone players will often be found combining swimming with the good old-fashioned Dolphin Dive.

But it now seems like this isn't as effective as you'd like it to be, as a game-breaking glitch has been found that traps players in water upon impact, with no way out besides a one-way ticket to the Gulag.

Reddit user AngelVP shared a clip where they can be seen diving into the Amsterdam-inspired canals only to get rooted into the rocks underwater and eventually drown.

Warzone solo players are getting trapped in the Vondel rivers

Vondel appears to be throwing up some rather quirky mockery since being released, with the tram also laughing at players after causing mass destruction, and now the canals are drowning players.

There is a way around this though, as one Redditor said, "This happened to my duo but only because I kinda jumped in when he did and landed on him and I had to literally push him or swim into him to get him out of being stuck," which is quite a common fix for when players get stuck.

Unfortunately, though, you don't have teammates to give you a boost in Solos. For the meantime we suggest you stay out of the water if you're on your own, or you might be pulled down by the water's sticky tentacles.
