If you've been on the gaming side of Twitter for any length of time, you'll be familiar with the constant braying and begging for Bloodborne to make a return. Believe us, we've seen more than enough of it.

Claims that players want more original games rather than remakes are shot down almost entirely by the FromSoftware fan community, which has spent the last few years fighting for a remake of the 2015 PS3 game - even if it's still perfectly playable on the PS4 and PS5.

A visual overhaul of Bloodborne is in high demand, and players won't stop shouting about it until it's in their hands. Now, it seems there's a better reason for a Bloodborne remake because there's cut content we never knew existed.

New YouTube video shows off lost Bloodborne content

Bloodborne remake fanatics have kicked into fifth gear thanks to a new video on YouTube. It reveals some cut content from the development process that never appeared in-game, leading some to hope that the lost areas and enemies could make a return in a new version.

Posted by Lance McDonald, the video reveals an entirely new area that never reached Bloodborne's retail version - appearing just after players defeat Father Gascoigne. The boss once dropped an item called the Great Bridge Key to open the following gate.

This leads to an unlit series of staircases and hallways that would take the player to Oedon Chapel. There's a huge collection of minor changes that are introduced with these changes, but one shift has led to the revealing of some major lore.

The video reveals that while players can find one note in the Underground Library after finally killing Gascoigne, charting the discovery of the Byrgenwerth spider, the original Alpha version of Bloodborne had three lore-expanding notes.

The new notes reveal a Holy Chalice found in the Cathedral Ward used as a "chance to liaise," and a message from a character who doesn't know what lies ahead for them, but "a sense of wondrous possibility overcomes me!"

It comes as no shock that players have latched on and are hoping these concepts could come to a Bloodborne remake on new-gen consoles. It's easy to mock those who've made moaning about a Bloodborne remake their full-time job, but when it comes to finding content that we never got to see, we get it. Okay, FromSoft, you can get to work now.
