Black Ops 6 Zombies has already showcased some pretty feral enemies. Terminus will play host to flying critters, spiders born out of the explosion of brains, and even an underwater Kraken/Stranger-Things-Demigorgon that will attack you on the boat.
Manglers are also present, although they could prove more useful than annoying, given how you can now harvest their canons and even inject multilations to become one.
But that's only Terminus, and Treyarch has much bigger ambitions for Black Ops 6 Zombies than to play all of its cards in the first map.
Liberty Falls map to feature Abomination zombies
Liberty Falls will be no exception when it comes to these beasts, although it appears that some more familiar faces rather than reanimated nova-carrying arachnids will be making their mark on the map.
As seen in the Call of Duty: Next promotions, Abominations are back, as "Abby" has welcomed the presence of hundreds of content creators.
The Abominations and Margwas were first featured in Cold War. They proved to be rather brutal and incredibly difficult to kill, and they were one of the biggest "boss" enemies we've ever had.
Zombies fans sceptical about Abby the Abomination
Â
Not everyone is a fan of the abominations and Margwas, though, mainly because they were originally made for Outbreak. This was designed specifically for the open-world setting to root out any camping players sitting in corners.
Those steeped in round-based experiences will remember multiple maps where using one corridor or room has proved the best method of success, such as in Nacht Der Untoten and, more recently, in Die Maschine.
"Treyarch said the Megabombination A.I. was specifically designed for open world in mind, to send out the crawlers when people are hiding in buildings. Was Liberty Falls initially going to be Outbreak?" questioned Zombies guru "TheGamingRevolution".
Popular Zombies social media page "MargwaNetwork" added, "I… I really just don’t know." There's no denying that Zombies is well and truly back to its best in Black Ops 6, but maybe these beasts might be more trouble than they're worth.
