Black Ops 1 Noob Tubers Go Viral A Decade Later
For many reasons, Black Ops 1 is the most iconic game of the franchise, forever changing the way that Call of Duty was played. Nuketown, Firing Range, Summit, and many more iconic maps were born in Treyarch's inaugural series opener, and after being remastered, reimagined, and redesigned over the years, nothing quite beats the original.
Twelve years down the line and the best that Black Ops has to offer is still being discovered, and thanks to some loyal players, the title is still alive and well.
With a very Counter-Strike-esque mindset to the layouts and lineups, Black Ops 1 players are now going viral again for creating perfectly timed noob tubes, and they're brilliant.
Black Ops 1 Noob Tubes Are Getting Ridiculous
After learning the map Summit off by heart, one group of players have now found perfect across-map noob tubes that are helping them win rounds of Search and Destroy.
One viral clip, in particular, shows a grenade launcher fired from an AK47 underbarrel which ricochets off the steps in one spawn, before bouncing off the satellite dish above the main room, falling down the scaffolding-styled roof, playing hot potato with perfectly positioned spy cameras - and finally rolling off a hill to collide with an enemy who was defusing the planted bomb.
While many Call of Duty fans of the current day are mastering the art of movement and quick-fire SMG play, there's something jaw-droppingly satisfying about the art of calculated noob tubing.
Fans Adore Viral Black Ops 1 Noob Tube
Having seen the clip go viral, fans instantly started to draw comparisons to the likes of CS:GO and VALORANT, titles which rely on like-minded accuracy and creativity.
"Hey mum, look! A new Viper line-up," joked one fan on Twitter. Another social media advocate added, "And this is why Theater Mode needs to be in every Call of Duty game," which is a clear jibe towards the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 title which is rumoured to have no replay client.
The clip reportedly belongs to Black Ops Tubes, a TikTok page devoted to creating these types of trick shots.
Even twelve years down the line and players are continuing to exploit Black Ops 1, showing the true beauty of the franchise's iconic history.
