The Game Awards have come and gone again for another year - serving as an exciting awards show and announcement platform, as well as an evil scourge on the sleep schedules of international gaming journalists.

The awards arrived with some pretty bold reveals, as Hades 2 and Death Stranding 2 became the show's headliners. Of course, the awards themselves offered some predictable and less predictable reveals, with the Game of the Year award going to exactly who you thought it would go to.

But, some things just can't be accounted for. Like a kid jumping on stage and shouting out about "orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton." That's showbiz, baby.

Why Is Bill Clinton Trending After The Game Awards?

In a particularly bizarre turn, it looks as though Bill Clinton has become the star of the show at The Game Awards, thanks to the shoutout from one stage invader during the show.

At the reveal for Game of the Year, the Elden Ring team came to the stage to accept its accolade. Here, a strange young man snaked behind them and somehow found his way on stage.

After the award was gracefully accepted, the invader approached the microphone and said "Real quick, I want to thank everybody and say that I think I want to nominate this award to my reformed orthodox rabbi, Bill Clinton. Thank you, everybody."

The invader was promptly ushered off stage as Geoff Keighley, being the showman he is, bringing the show back around. But the confusion was palpable, and Bill Clinton has now started trending on Twitter as players grow all the more baffled.

The Game Awards' Stage Invader Has Been Arrested

Blimey, that's a bit much. Following the invasion, Geoff Keighley himself very bluntly tweeted: "The individual who interrupted our Game of the Year moment has been arrested." Crikey, Geoff, keep your wig on.

It's a bit much for a silly goof at The Game Awards, but it looks like our new friend is going to the big house. Of all the silliness that the awards ceremony has offered over the years, it's a surprise he's the first to be thrown behind bars.

Where is the justice for when Ninja made our skin crawl by presenting with The Muppets? It's been an eventful TGA night, to say the least. Surprisingly, it's gone down pretty well for the ex-president. We're happy for you, Bill, we guess.
