BigTymeR And Nadeshot Call For Legends Vs Pros Showmatch

OpTic legends BigTymeR and Nadeshot have called out the current professional pool to face them in a throwback tournament, claiming that they will 'p*ss on them' with arthritis.

Call of Duty esports has undoubtedly progressed quite a bit from the days of Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag and Will "BigTymeR" Johnson, but could the best of the past still fare up against the current best of the best?

It's the question that plagues the integrity of the Call of Duty League since franchised was born and a range of veterans ditched the game with a failing broadcast system and the format ended the chances of having another dynasty like the OpTic and compLexity reigns of old.

Who's better? It's quite a simple question on the face of it, but when you throw old-school veterans into a current era, they'd likely be stomped on. Does it work in reverse though? Could a current CDL all-stars team defeat the greatest players of eras gone by at their own game? Despite the hindrance of arthritis, BigTymeR thinks so.

BigTymeR Calls Out Current Pros With Showdown Proposition

In fact, BigTymer thinks that they would be "literally p*ssing on them", should there ever be a way to pit classics against currents.

In the UK it's labelled "lads and dads" when oldies take on the goldies and it makes for quite a watch with no prisoners taken. Taking to Twitter, this is exactly what BigT has proposed, as he's called out any current professional to take on himself and the 2011 OpTic Gaming roster.

The 31-year-old might have lost his ginger locks since hanging up the sticks back in 2014, but back in his day, he held the title of the "Highest-Earning Call of Duty Player" until Damon "Karma" Barlow surpassed him.

Together, BigTymer, now CDL caster Joe "MerK" DeLuca, current OpTic Texas coach Raymond "Rambo" Lussier, and LA Thieves Head Coach Jordan "JKap" Kaplan won the Call of Duty: Ghosts MLG Columbus 2011 title, and now thinks that the quad can beat likes of Atlanta FaZe on any game made between 2007-12.

Nadeshot Believes Old-School Pros Are Better Than Current CDL Players

Nadeshot also thought that the talent back in the day was better. He named Karma, Patrick "Aches" Price, Tyler "TeePee" Polchow and Ian "Crimsix" Porter (The compLexity dynasty roster) as better competition than any current team in existence.

Fortunately for the CoD dads, they might get their wish soon. With the CDL season ending in a few weeks following the CDL World Championships, Team SummerTime's Davis "Hitchariide" Edwards often hosts a range of exhibition games to fill the pre-season void.

Previously, he's lured Nadeshot, Karma and Aches into picking up a controller once again to play alongside Seth "Scump" Abner and co., which have proved to be hugely entertaining fixtures. Nadeshot and 100 Thieves also hosted a throwback clash of the vets, now all they need is a CDL all-star squad to go up against.
