With the emergence of Warzone Mobile, the Call of Duty community has been divided across more platforms than ever before. This might serve as a great opportunity for the developers to flex, but it could pull up some problems in terms of server population.

Over the last few weeks, Activision has outright denied any usage of bots in the Call of Duty series (for online matches), but its latest promo for Warzone Mobile has contradicted this and left fans scratching their heads.

In its latest advert for Warzone Mobile, Activision has flashed out the slogan "more real players, more epic action," and it's caused quite a fuss.

While AI bots have been infiltrating Warzone in the last few years (thankfully, they were left in Al Mazrah), Activision has promised that it doesn't use computerised players to populate the servers, only in the newly-released Bootcamp mode.

In a Warzone Mobile promotion, though, Activision insinuated that the game will pit you against more "real" players than any other branch of CoD.

The Reddit promotion aired before the app took a dive in ratings too, with players actively being put off the game struggling with Android performance levels.

The insinuation that there are players who aren't real in Warzone now directly contradicts the theory that Activision has been fighting against in recent weeks, and players are taking it at face value.

"So they’re saying that there aren’t real players on other forms of the game? Help me out here…" said one fan on Reddit. Another added, "I guess more real players than the cod mobile game, just a guess though."

Some CoD fans think that this is not a dig at other branches of the series, but rather at other franchises entirely.

"Other BR games on mobile have bots. Fortnite, PUBG, even COD Mobile. Per the developers, bots aren't present in WZM, outside of the training mode that you play when you first start the game. So this is just purely a flex move from ATVI," said another fan.

Even if it was a dig at the likes of Fortnite, it is easy to see why some CoD players have gotten the wrong end of the stick - especially when you get those bot lobbies before SBMM kicks in.
