Like any game, LEGO Fortnite can have bugs pop up and the High Complexity Area error is one of the most recent and most annoying.

Stemming from all the new structures from the recently added Kits system, this tricky error has caused limited functionality or even crashes for many players. Thankfully, I've found out exactly what you need to do to fix this.

How to fix the High Complexity Area bug

The easiest way to resolve the High Complexity Area error in LEGO Fortnite is simply logging out of the game and re-entering from the lobby. Once you log back into the game, this should resolve the issue.

Otherwise, if the error is still popping up, there are a few alternative methods you can try:

  • Closing the game & restarting your internet
  • Removing builds or leaving the area as the error message commands
  • Submit a support request at LEGO Fortnite's technical support site

Out of the three above, fully resetting the game and your internet would be the next most likely to work. However, if you've got multiple villages to work with, or you don't mind having fewer structures in the one where you're getting the error, backup option number two is your quickest solve.

On the other hand, since this is a new error, talking directly to the support team is an ideal way to find you a specific fix if none of the above works.

What's more, making the LEGO Fortnite tech support staff more aware of the details around the High Complexity Area error is the fastest way toward the development of a hotfix patch. If that happens, this would resolve the issue for players all around.
