Will Palia be cross-platform? Crossplay on PC & Nintendo Switch explained
After rounds of Palia's successful open beta testing on PC and a future Nintendo Switch port on the horizon, you may be wondering if Palia will be cross-platform.
A cozy multiplayer RPG, Palia encourages players to tackle the chores of gardening, fishing, mining, bug catching and other activities together. As such, this has made some question if Palia will be cross-platform when it releases on Nintendo Switch.

Will Palia have cross-play?
Click to enlargeAccording to the official blog post that first announced the game's release on Nintendo Switch, the developer has confirmed that Palia will be cross-platform with players able to play with each other either on PC or Switch - clarifying with the following:
"We want Palians to be able to play on their preferred platform, and join their friends regardless of where they play. We intend to support cross-progression and cross play, so you can bring your Palia character from PC to Nintendo Switch or vice versa. We are still working out the finer details, but be sure to stay tuned"
This is great news for players looking to invest in the Nintendo Switch version of the game, as they will be able to join their friends in Kilima Village regardless of their preferred platform.
There is also hope for future console releases on top of this. In the same blog post, developer Singularity 6 said that they are aware of the demand for other platforms, so players should keep an eye on their channels for future announcements.
Whilst this is a coy nod to a future console release, it does offer some hope for Xbox and PlayStation gamers.
