The Palia open and closed beta release dates are finally here, giving perspective players a chance to get their hands on the upcoming cozy RPG early before the general open beta launch.

Palia is a free-to-play, multiplayer RPG that transports players to the enchanting Kilima Village where you can perform the usual relaxing tasks of decorating and expanding a home, customising a character with the latest adventuring gear, hunting, fishing, mining, farming and more.

If this sounds like the game for you, take a look at our guide below and get yourself signed up to early beta access.

How to join the open & closed beta

The Palia open and closed beta dates for PC, are as follows:

  • The closed beta begins on August 2, at 10:00 AM PT
  • The open beta begins on August 10, at 10:00 AM PT

Follow this link here to gain access to the sign-up form, then simply fill it out with your details for the chance to participate in the closed beta. Check your emails for the game invite afterwards. The closed beta is essentially early access to the game before the open beta arrives and grants access to all players.

Although Palia is due to release on both PC and Nintendo Switch, unfortunately, the beta is only for PC players, but you can wishlist the game on the Nintendo e-shop now.

Thankfully, any progress made in the game during the open and closed beta stages will save and players will be able to keep it after the general release of the game.

As you fill out the closed beta form, you'll notice a section that says 'Referral Code'. Using this can get you free items in the game. See below for the 'Refer a Friend' scheme and instructions on how to join to get free in-game rewards.

  • Chapaa Plush – two friends
  • Chapaa Outfit – three friends
  • Chapaa Fountain – four friends

Whoever uses the link to set up their account will receive the 'Fruit Basket décor item' in return. If for whatever reason your link does not work, your friend can enter the last numbers in the link into the 'Referral Code' section of the beta form (these appear after the equals symbol in the link).

That’s everything you need to know on joining the Palia closed beta before the open beta releases later this month. If you love RPGs with farming mechanics, check out our list of the best farming games and pick up something else to play!
