Curious Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players might be wondering how to catch Pecharunt in the game's epilogue to the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, Mochi Mayhem.

After all, the Poison/Ghost-type mochi-looking Pokemon will make an adorable addition to any Trainer's collection. So, let's get into how to get Pecharunt in Scarlet & Violet's epilogue DLC.

SPOILER WARNING The way to catch Pecharunt does include spoilers for the Mochi Mayhem epilogue DLC, so please proceed at your own caution.

How to catch Pecharunt in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet epilogue

You'll be able to catch Pecharunt once you get towards the end of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Mochi Mayhem epilogue DLC, which will take about an hour to 90 minutes of gameplay. Keep in mind, though, that you'll need to fulfil the required conditions to start the epilogue first.

After battling through the brainwashed citizens of Kitakami, Arven, and Penny - who've been subjugated by eating Pecharunt's toxic mochi - you'll find your way to the Loyalty Plaza and have a six vs six battle with Nemona.

Once you beat Nemona, you'll finally have a chance to take on Pecharunt and catch it for yourself. This battle will be in the style of a Raid Boss where you'll need to deplete its HP entirely before you can then throw any Poke Ball for a 100% catch rate; so don't worry about making it faint by accident and losing your chance.

As you catch the new Mythical Pokemon, you'll be able to add it to your party right away or send it to one of your boxes. Following your Pokedex being updated, the rest of the DLC will continue to its final stages.

Pecharunt's type & weakness in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Being a dual Poison/Ghost-type, Pecharunt doesn't have just one weakness in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but four altogether: It's vulnerable to Psychic, Ground, Ghost, and Dark-type attacks

Even if you happen to have none of these move types available, this new Legendary is only at Level 88. If you take it on with a full team of Level 100 Pokemon, you can defeat it fairly easily.

  • Malignant Chain

And that's everything you need to know about the new Mythical Pokemon, Pecharunt!
