Aliens have invaded the Fortnite world and changed our lives as we know them. But one thing remains the same: challenges. Completing challenges is the best and most efficient way of earning XP in Fortnite. Players will need this XP to acquire Battle Stars, the currency used to unlock items in Chapter 2 - Season 7’s Battle Pass. Ignoring challenges will make it near impossible to unlock Season 7’s signature skins like Rick Sanchez and Superman.

Now that we’ve harped on the importance of completing challenges, let’s get into the details. Each Week 2 challenge grants a substantial 30,000 XP. Completing all Week 2 challenges will grant players an enormous 375,000 XP.  As you can see, these challenges are not something you want to miss out on.

There’s no more time to waste. Get a head start on Chapter 2 - Season 7 as we guide you through an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 2 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Search Chests at Corny Complex or Lazy Lake (7) - 30,000 XP

Week 2 starts with a standard “Search Chests” Challenge. Players will need to search seven chests between the locations of Corny Complex and Lazy Lake.

Readers may want to refer to our Week 1 Challenge Guide for a detailed explanation of how to most efficiently search seven chests.

In summary, players should land at either Corny Complex or Lazy Lake and open as many chests as they can find. Once that’s done, rotate to the other point of interest (POI) and loot any leftover chests. If you find yourself short of seven after all of this is done, just leave the match and repeat these steps.

Explosive damage to opponent or opponent structures (500) - 30,000 XP

Our next challenge asks players to deal 500 total damage to opponents or their player-built structures.

Grenades or RPGs work great for this challenge, but there’s an even better method. Thanks to the aliens, we now have access to Flying Saucer UFOs. These UFOs have all kinds of tools at their disposal, including a particle blaster that counts as explosive damage.

Head into Team Rumble and get your hands on a UFO. Fly around and shoot balls of plasma at any and all enemies below you. This strategy will earn you 500 explosive damage in no time.

Collect Spray Cans from Warehouses in Dirty Docks or Garages in Pleasant Park (2) - 30,000 XP

Someone’s going around vandalising the Fortnite island with graffiti. The latest victims of this artistic attack are Dirty Docks and Pleasant Park.

There are eight Spray Cans total between the two locations, but players only need to grab two. This is easily done at the warehouse located in the north-east corner of Dirty Docks. Inside, players will find two Spray Cans highlighted by a blue beam. Interact with these two cans to collect them and earn 30,000 XP.

Destroy Equipment at Satellite Stations (15) - 30,000 XP

There are seven Satellite Stations scattered around the Fortnite map. Refer to the image above for the exact location of each station.

Visit the location of your choosing and prepare for demolition. Use your pickaxe to destroy as much technical equipment as possible. Computers, desks, monitors, all that good stuff. This challenge will complete once 15 pieces of equipment have been destroyed.

Search for a Graffiti-covered wall at Hydro 16 or near Catty Corner (1) - 30,000 XP

The graffiti artist from the challenge above has left their mark on Hydro 16 and Catty Corner. Players must head to one of these two locations and find the artwork they left behind.

Just east of Catty Corner there is an abandoned Bunker. To the left of the Bunker door is some obvious graffiti. Interact with the spray to complete the challenge.

Alternatively, players can search the graffiti spray at Hydro 16. Hydro 16 is the dam west of Misty Meadows. Explore the bottom of the dam, and you will spot graffiti sprayed on the concrete.

The choice between which spray you search is yours. Just interact with one, and you’ll be through another Epic Quest.

Visit different named locations in a single match (5) - 30,000 XP

There are 15 named locations on the Fortnite map. Players will need to visit five of them in one game to complete this challenge.

This challenge is best done in Team Rumble. In this playlist, players can use the Redeployable Glider to speed things up.

We recommend starting on the edge of the map and working your way in. Slurpy Swamp is a great starting point. From Slurpy, head north to Weeping Woods and then to Holly Hedges. From Holly Hedges, fly to Believer Beach. Finally, end your road trip at Boney Burbs.

Enter a UFO (1) - 30,000 XP

As one would expect after an alien invasion, players will notice UFOs hovering all around the island. Aliens and players alike can take hold of these UFOs.

Shooting down a UFO piloted by an alien will allow you to hijack it and take it as your own. The Rail Gun is ideal for this task. This high-tech sniper serves well as anti-UFO artillery.

For the pacifists out there, it’s possible to get your hands on a UFO without killing any aliens. Certain locations spawn grounded UFOs with no pilot. It’s as simple as entering these unmanned UFOs and claiming them as your own.

Logjam Woodworks, Dirty Docks, Camp Cod, Corny Complex, and Steamy Stacks are all home to UFO spawns. Visit one of these locations and grab the resting UFO. Enter it and fly away to complete Week 2’s Final Epic Quest.

Legendary Quests

Interact with a Dead Drop in Weeping Woods (1) – 45,000 XP

Weeping Woods is host to five total Dead Drops, which we have marked on the picture below. Dead Drops are suspicious-looking tree stumps with steel wheel handles on top. Interacting with these Dead Drops will reveal a top-secret document hidden inside.

We’re not sure what the document says, but it must be important. Interact with just one Dead Drop to complete this special Legendary Quest and earn some extra XP and Battle Stars.

Step onto a Body Scanner (1) – 30,000 XP

There’s seven IO Bases on the map. IO Bases can be found at the following locations:

  • West of Believer Beach
  • Stealthy Stronghold
  • West of Steamy Stacks
  • South-west of Dirty Docks
  • East of Weeping Woods
  • South-west of Slurpy Swamp
  • South-east of Misty Meadows
  • Beneath Corny Complex

At the entrance of each IO Base is a Body Scanner. Step on the scanner to initiate the scan and complete the challenge.

Converse with Rick Sanchez, Rook, Marigold, Maven, or Special Forces (3) – 30,000 XP

A lot has changed in Chapter 2 - Season 7, including the non-player characters (NPCs) stationed around the island. While the NPCs are different, they still work the same. Players can use NPCs to buy guns and equipment, upgrade their weapons, or recruit bodyguard services.

This week, players must pay a visit to three of the following NPCs: Rick Sanchez, Rook, Marigold, Maven, or Special Forces. Players can find these characters at the following locations:

  • Rick Sanchez – at the satellite station to the east of Weeping Woods
  • Rook – at the satellite station the west of Dirty Docks
  • Marigold – at Lazy Lake
  • Maven – at the satellite station to the south of FN Radio
  • Special Forces – near the bunker just east of Catty Corner

Talk to three of these five NPCs to complete this Legendary Quest.

Deal damage with IO Tech Weapons (200) – 30,000 XP

Together, Aliens and the Imagined Order (IO) have brought some serious firepower to the Fortnite island. The Imagined Order in particular has cooked up a variety of spicy new weapons. The IO Tech weapons currently in the game include:

  • Recon Scanner
  • Pulse Rifle
  • Rail Gun

The Recon Scanner does not deal damage, so scratch that one off for this challenge. This means that players will need to equip either a Pulse Rifle or Rail Gun.

You’ll find IO Weapons in chests at IO Bases and on the eliminated bodies of IO Guards. We recommend visiting an IO Base at the start of a match and acquiring either a Pulse Rifle or a Rail Gun. Use your new IO weapon for the duration of the match, dealing damage to opponents whenever possible. You’ll only need to deal 200 damage total, a relatively easy feat.

Damage an IO Guard (1) – 30,000 XP

Week 2’s final Legendary Quest asks players to deal just one damage to an IO Guard.

If you have completed any other challenges on this list, you probably already knocked this one out along the way. Stepping on a Body Scanner, visiting Rick Sanchez, Rook, or Maven, or acquiring an IO Tech Weapon would likely put you in the path of an IO Guard.

If you still haven’t completed this challenge, start by heading to any of the seven IO Bases on the map. Take a shot at an IO Guard or just pickaxe him if you have to. You’ll receive credit for this challenge after just one hit.

We’ll be back next week with another edition of our Chapter 2 - Season 7 Fortnite Challenge Guide. Stay tuned here @GGReconEsports for Fortnite news, guides, features, and more.
