Keeping any of the best crafts on rotation in Escape from Tarkov is essential if you're looking to keep the roubles flowing, as the most profitable options can earn you millions with ease.

While the appeal of finding a LEDX or Labs keycard is overwhelmingly appealing, some of the most sustainable ways to earn money in the game are through crafts, as they do the work for you every day whether you're playing or not. You'll be able to afford the best ammo and all the meta weapons in no time by using these crafts, so waste no time and get started in your Hideout.

Best crafts for profit

Workbench

Craft (Time) Input price Sale price (-Flea Market fee) Overall profit Profit per hour
Bundle of Wires x8 (1hr58) 56,572₽ 139,360₽ (-6,760₽) 76,028₽ 38,014₽
Gunpower "Kite" x2 (1hr29) 6,360₽ 64,000₽ (-2,778₽) 54,862₽ 36,575₽
Gunpowder "Eagle" x2 (1hr38) 23,904₽ 80,000₽ (-4,284₽) 51,812₽ 31,786₽
Caps x6 (2h04) 59,000₽ 114,000₽ (-6,000₽) 49,000₽ 24,500₽
.300 M62 x120 (5hr30) 49,000₽ 180,000₽ (-12,600₽) 118,400₽ 21,527₽
PM 9x18PM 84-round drum x1 (20m) 30,817₽ 40,000₽ (-2,637₽) 6,546₽ 19,638₽
5.7x28mm L191 x120 (4hr30) 55,000₽ 130,800₽ (-6,120₽) 69,680₽ 15,484₽

The Workbench has always remained the best source for profit in your Hideout, providing some different crafts that can make you money easily.

Bundle of Wires x8 is quite handily the best craft you can do at this stage of the wipe, and the best part is that it's available at Workbench L1. This will net you just under 40,000₽ if you're able to keep it constantly refreshed - although something like .300 M62 might be a better craft if you're not constantly at your PC.

You can also think of the ammo crafts here as 'saving' you money instead of making you it - as they both are among the meta rounds in the game right now, so having them ready to use will save you the cost of buying new ammo every time you head into a raid.

Lavatory

Craft (Time) Input price Sale price (-Flea Market fee) Overall profit Profit per hour
Filter x1 (2m) 48,555₽ 54,000₽ (4,108) 1,337₽ 40,110₽
Ripstop x2 (36m) 50,331₽ 79,554₽ (-6,104₽) 23,119₽ 38,531₽
Aramid x2 (33m) 29,152₽ 50,000₽ (-2,082₽) 18,766₽ 34,120₽
Alu splint x2 (53m) 29,000₽ 57,776₽ (-2,426₽) 26,350₽ 29,943₽
Fleece x1 (43 mins) 4,536₽ 9,977₽ (-832₽) 4,789₽ 6,651₽

While it might not be the strongest in the early wipe, the Lavatory is one of the best crafting modules that you should always keep in your rotation. It has incredibly high profit-per-hour yields if you're able to keep the items rotating - but they are typically all under an hour.

Most of these are only accessed at L2, but it's not too hard to reach once you've played for a little while. Although the Filter craft might seem like the ideal option, its 2m craft time is both a blessing and a curse. It's quick if you're looking for some speedy profit, but to make really any money you're going to have to need to be active with it for the entire hour.

Medstation

Craft (Time) Input price Sale price (-Flea Market fee) Overall profit Profit per hour
Pile of meds x3 (48 mins)* 45,820₽ 76,500₽ (-5,337₽) 25,343₽ 31,678₽
M.U.L.E. x1 (1hr32) 128,776₽ 179,000₽ (-11,404₽) 38,820₽ 25,372₽
CMS x1 (49 mins)* 26,409₽ 40,602₽ (-2,903₽) 11,290₽ 13,938₽

While not always bringing the most profit compared to other Hideout modules, the Medstation still gives you a decent amount when everything else is on, and can give you some handy items to use in your raids.

Water Collector / Booze Generator

Craft (Time) Input price Sale price (-Flea Market fee) Overall profit Profit per hour
Superwater (5hr25) ~65,999₽ 186,196₽ (-13,219₽) 106,978₽ 19,774₽
Moonshine (3hr04) 366,194₽ 385,666₽ (-20,204₽) -732₽ -2,225₽
Overall (8hr29) ~245,997₽ 385,666₽ (-20,204₽) 119,465₽ 14,087₽

The Superwater x Moonshine crafting combination has always been appealing to try in Escape from Tarkov, as it can give you a strong rouble-per-hour result despite taking over eight hours in total.

However, currently, it's better from a profit per hour result to just stick with the Superwater craft from the Water Collector at the moment. Moonshine on its own actually nets you a loss, both overall and per hour, so it's best to stay away for the time being. This can change though as Water Filters go up in price, so do keep your eyes on the market.

The price for this is a rough estimate, as the Water Collector only uses 66% of each Filter you put in to craft a Superwater, so you're 'roughly' paying 66% of the total price with every new production.

One thing to consider with our calculations is that prices are always going to fluctuate daily. Supply and demand is very much a thing here - and items like the Water Filter will dramatically rise in price in the later stages of the wipe when more players have the Water Collector and Booze Generator built.

Furthermore, I haven't accounted for the price of auxiliary tools in our calculations as they aren't consumed with a craft, but you might need to take a slight loss on your first craft by buying the tool to do it.

I've also not accounted for the fuel costs of running each module outside of the Lavatory, as that is far too complex to calculate. Make sure to take that into consideration though, as there are many ways that you can recoup your fuel costs in the game as well.

Finally, while shorter crafts might give you a better profit per hour, you have to consider how often you'll be there to reset the craft and go again. If you're constantly at your PC, you should be ok, but if you work away from home or want to continue your crafts overnight, you might want to consider one of the longer options.

You'll now be able to start a passive money-making empire in your Hideout, so make sure to stay on top of your crafts to ensure that you're always making the most money.
