There are a few major Xbox Game Pass releases for January 2023, giving those of you with a subscription to the service even more options for games to play on console, PC, and cloud gaming. 2023 is set to be a big year for video games, with a tonne of highly anticipated titles releasing, but January is slowly starting to ease gamers into the year.

So, if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription and want to know what you can get your hands on this month, check out all the releases in January 2023.

All Xbox Game Pass Releases January 2023

Release Date Game Platform
January 3 Stranded Deep Console, PC, Cloud
January 5 Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition Console, PC, Cloud
January 19 Persona 3 Portable Console, PC, Cloud
January 19 Persona 4 Golden Console, PC, Cloud
January 20 Monster Hunter Rise Console, PC
January 26 Hi-Fi Rush Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud
January 27 GoldenEye 007 Console, Cloud
January 30 Roboquest (Game Preview) Console
January 31 Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition Console, Cloud
January 31 Inkulinati Console, PC
January 31 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Console, PC, Cloud

The highlight of this month's Xbox Game Pass games is Monster Hunter Rise, an action role-playing game from Capcom where you do exactly what it says on the tin. The satisfying loop of preparing for a monster and then taking them down to get better gear is endless fun and will give you hours of enjoyment.

Perhaps the most exciting of the selection is Hi-Fi Rush, a brand new title from Tango Gameworks that shadow dropped during the recent Xbox Developer Direct.

Players are expected to explore a vibrant world, where they'll attack enemies and platform to the beat of the music. It's a huge departure from the studio's efforts in making The Evil Within series, but it looks interesting.

Xbox Game Pass Titles Leaving January 2023

Leaving Date Game Platform
January 15 We Happy Few Console, PC
January 15 Danganropa: Trigger Happy Havoc Console, PC
January 15 Nobody Saves The World Console, PC
January 15 Pupperazzi Console, PC

We Happy Few is a somewhat big loss for Game Pass, as that's where it found its popularity and audience. However, it can be found for cheap these days, so if you've not experienced its weird world, give it a go.

That's all for our coverage of the Xbox Game Pass releases in January 2023, along with the games set to leave the service.
