Details surrounding the Warzone Halloween event 2021 are starting to emerge. If you remember back to last year, Call of Duty Warzone was overrun with zombies in the Haunting of Verdansk event. With spooky season rapidly approaching once again, find out what sort of spooky new content is to come in the Warzone Halloween event 2021.

Will There Be A Warzone Halloween Event 2021?

According to early leaks, Warzone will introduce a Warzone Halloween event later in 2021. All Hallows Eve is the name of the 2021 Warzone Halloween event, and naturally, the event will begin in October. Activision and Raven Software announced last year’s Warzone Halloween event about a week before Halloween, so expect the Warzone Halloween event 2021 to be officially announced around the same time.

This news is quite believable, as the first Warzone Halloween event is to this day praised as one of the greatest periods in the Call of Duty battle royale’s history. It would shock no one if Activision and Raven Software tried to recapture the magic of the first Warzone Halloween event with a Warzone Halloween event 2.0.

Warzone Halloween Event 2020 Recap

Titled Haunting of Verdansk, the Warzone Halloween Event 2020 was a blast. The highlight of the event was Zombie Royale, a limited-time game mode where fallen players would come back to life as zombies. Zombified players could then hunt down human players for a chance to return to the battlefield again as a human.

But that’s not all. The 2020 Warzone Halloween event featured new Operator skins, a new gun, new points of interest, double XP events, and other quirky features like putting pumpkins atop the heads of players on killstreaks.

The 2020 Halloween event was jam-packed with exciting content that left Warzone players begging for more when the event finally concluded.

Warzone Halloween Event 2021 Operator Skins

Last year’s Warzone Halloween event welcomed Billy the Puppet from Saw and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Verdansk. These iconic horror movie villains were available to purchase as Operator skins for a limited time during the event.

Leaks around the Warzone Halloween event 2021 reveal that two more classic horror movie legends may be joining in on the action soon. Diving into the Warzone game files, there is a line that reads “operator skin, ghostface.” This has led many to believe that the serial killer Ghostface from the Scream series will be purchasable as an Operator during the Warzone Halloween event 2021. The masked murderer would fit in well with the other faceless horror icons roaming the zombie-infested Verdansk.

Additional leaked files suggest that the Warzone Halloween event 2021 will come with a Donnie Darko bundle. Donnie Darko is a cult classic movie featuring Frank, a horrifying figure dressed in a bunny rabbit suit.

It’s still a mystery as to what other sorts of Halloween-themed Operators and cosmetic items will arrive with the Warzone Halloween event 2021. While many Warzone players would love to see a Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger Operator skin, nothing in the leaked files points to the existence of these yet.

Warzone Halloween Event 2021 Game Modes

The 2020 Haunting Of Verdansk event featured a plethora of new Warzone game modes such as Nighttime Battle Royale, Onslaught-er Mode, and of course, Zombie Royale. That also does not include the extras like the Trick Or Treat Supply Box event.

As of now, there are no details on Warzone Halloween 2021 event game modes. However, based on its popularity, we can basically guarantee a return of Zombie Royale or a similar variant.

Speculating on new Warzone Halloween event game modes, a PvE mode ingrained with Warzone would be interesting. We have seen this idea implemented with Overwatch’s Junkenstein’s Revenge and Fortnite’s Fortnitemares event. Call of Duty is known for its PvE Zombies mode already, so why not mix the AI zombies with Warzone for an epic limited-time event?

More details will certainly emerge as we advance toward October and the All Hallows Eve release date. For now, this is everything we know about the Warzone Halloween event 2021.
