Vanguard Season One marks the beginning of what fans hope is a fun-filled and action-packed year of Call of Duty. As the final season of Cold War wraps up, it's about time we dive into Vanguard's first official season. So without further ado, let's check out all of the new and exciting content set to release with Vanguard Season One.

Vanguard Season One: Release Date

Vanguard Season One is just a few weeks away, with a scheduled release date of December 2, 2021.

Vanguard Season One: New Multiplayer Maps

As an appetizer to Vanguard Season One, one of the all-time fan-favourite Call of Duty maps, Shipment, will be joining the Vanguard map roster starting on November 17.

Diving into the main course, Vanguard Season One will unleash three additional new multiplayer maps into the game. As of now, there are no further details on the Season One maps.

Vanguard Season One: New Weapons

Vanguard Season One will usher in the first Battle Pass featuring both Vanguard and Warzone. The Battle Pass will contain new weapon blueprints, cosmetics, and two brand-new Vanguard-based weapons. The identity of these new Vanguard Season One weapons is not currently known.

Vanguard Season One: New Game Modes

The Vanguard Season One roadmap suggests that the new season will welcome in a slew of new permanent and limited-time Vanguard game modes. Like much of the other Vanguard Season One content, the details surrounding these new game modes remain a mystery for now.

The heavily requested Ranked playlist will unfortunately not be ready for Vanguard Season One. Instead, Vanguard players can expect a Ranked Mode sometime in 2022. On the bright side, Sledgehammer Games is collaborating with Treyarch to create Vanguard's competitive mode. The community hopes that through working together, these two prestigious development teams can create the best Call of Duty Ranked Play system yet. The bar is pretty low after all, considering the lacklustre Ranked Play options in previous Call of Duty titles.

Vanguard Season One: New Operator Skins

Three new and unique Vanguard Operators will join in on the action when Vanguard Season One kicks off on December 2. And for those fashionistas out there, we can expect to see some brand-new Operator skins as well.

Renowned Call of Duty leaker, Tom Henderson, claims that both Captain America and Indian Jones will make their way to Vanguard as Operator skins. Apparently, Disney and Activision have been in talks of a partnership dating back to the summer of 2022. While this sort of partnership may have seemed farfetched in year's past, let's not forget about Billy the Puppet, Leatherface, Ghostface, and the other iconic horror movie villains that exist as Operators in Warzone. Furthermore, Captain America already exists in Fortnite, so who's to say he won't make an appearance in Vanguard as well?

Vanguard Season One: Winter Holiday In-Game Event

While not officially confirmed by the developers themselves, it looks like Vanguard Season One will include at least a couple of special in-game events. Most notably, a winter holiday event.

Another well-regarded Call of Duty leaker, ZestyCODLeaks, dug into the game files and uncovered multiple strings of text that point to an upcoming winter holiday Vanguard event. It appears that Vanguard players will have the opportunity to unlock cosmetic rewards such as Christmas Calling Cards, Christmas Sticker Sets, and New Years Calling Cards. Finally, ZestyCODLeaks believes that Krampus, the half-goat, half-demon Christmas devil, will be available to purchase during the event as a Vanguard Operator skin.

While this is all the information we currently have regarding the Vanguard Season One winter holiday event, it wouldn't be shocking if there's even more surprise content still under wraps.

Vanguard Season One: New Zombie Content

Most Call of Duty fans can agree that Vanguard Zombies has been arguably the most disappointing aspect of Vanguard so far. As it stands, the popular co-op game mode is bare-bones and unfinished. However, that's all set to change with Vanguard Season One.

Vanguard Season One hopes to return Call of Duty Zombies back to its heyday. Vanguard Season One will continue where the Zombies story left off - with the next chapter in Dark Aether.

Vanguard Season One: Warzone Integration

On December 7, 2021, five days after Vanguard Season One drops, Vanguard will be fully integrated into Warzone. Right now, Warzone players can get their hands on the STG 44 and the M1 Garand. But starting in Vanguard Season One, Warzone players will have access to all of the best Vanguard weapons

The long-anticipated Warzone Pacific map will finally be made available at the start of Vanguard Season One. Vanguard players will have 24 hours of exclusive early access to learn the new map before the general public get their hands on it.

Overall, Vanguard Season One is chock-full of content pertaining to Warzone. A new Vanguard Royale game mode, new playlists, and new vehicles are all coming to Warzone with Vanguard Season One.

That concludes the long list of exciting new content set to arrive with Vanguard Season One. Stay tuned here at GGRecon for Call of Duty Vanguard news, guides, features, and more.
