V Rising Controller Support Explained
Currently, there is no controller support available for V Rising at all, and the developers have made it clear they aren't planning on implementing it anytime soon. The developers responded to a fan asking about it on Twitter, stating, "we aren't currently working on controller support and don't have any plans to do so. It isn't impossible, but I wouldn't expect it."
You are able to connect a controller to your PC through USB and use it, though the game will not recognise it as a valid method of input and the settings menu features no options to customise your button layout. You can use a controller for very rudimentary gameplay, such as moving, but it's not a particularly user-friendly experience, and you will be locked off from being able to interact with much of the game.
Obviously, as the developers haven't completely shut down the idea of adding controller support, it could still happen at some point in the future, and if there is a V Rising Xbox and PlayStation version, they will need to work on some form of support. For now, you will need to get used to the mouse and keyboard while playing, and considering the amount of mechanics and style of gameplay, it will benefit you massively to get used to it.
That's all for our rundown on V Rising controller support, and know you about the developer's current stance on implementing it. We'll make sure to update this article if Stunlock Studios decide to add it in the future, but for now you'll have to get used to the old QWERTY keyboard.
While there are many ways to get resources and items in-game, seeking out the V Rising merchants can be one of the best, so check out how to find them and what they sell.
