V Rising ceiling is a very necessary part of building a castle, especially when you are deathly allergic to sunlight. V Rising gives players a lot of crafting possibilities, but it can be a while before they get to put a proper ceiling on their homes. If you have four walls and nothing to cover you from the elements, we can help. Here is everything you need to know about V Rising ceilings.

  • There are an awful lot of awful bosses for you to track down in the game, make your life easier with our V Rising boss locations guide.

V Rising Ceiling: Build A Base

You will need some walls to put a ceiling on top of. Following the tutorial tips of the main quest, you will start building a bit of a base for yourself early on. You will be told to put down a Castle Heart, claim a plot of land, then surround it with walls. The only walls you will be able to build early on will be wooden walls, little more than barricades.

With a fully sealed circle of walls, you might be thinking you could do with a ceiling over it. It can be a bit inconvenient to repeatedly burn to death in your own home. Unfortunately, you cannot put a roof over wooden walls. The only thing you can do to improve things inside your base is to build a Mist Brazier. Throw a few bones into this device to create a cloud above your home, blocking out the sun and allowing you to work in peace.

In order to get yourself some proper shelter, you are going to need to upgrade your digs. Those wooden walls will have to go, and be replaced with much sturdier stone. Continue to follow the main quest to unlock these improvements, which involves creating a grinder to generate stone bricks. Once you have what you need, put up your new stone walls.

There is more work to do, as four walls do not a home make. You need a floor, so, put down a floor. Choose flooring from the build menu, choose the pattern you like, and put it down. Fill in all the space between your walls and, like some kind of vampire magic, a ceiling will appear above you. You are now completely safe from the evils of the sun while in your home, and you are now well on your way to owning a proper Castle.

That is everything you need to know about V Rising ceilings. For more on the game, check out our V Rising tips.
