The Tiny Tina's Wonderlands release date isn't far away, so fans will get to experience the latest in the Borderlands franchise very soon. It was announced earlier this year during E3, and since then many gamers have been wondering how it will differ from the rest of the Borderlands series. One of the more interesting aspects is its inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons, giving Tiny Tina's Wonderlands a-game-within-a-game structure. If you're interested in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands release date, along with information on the gameplay and other aspects, here's the place for you.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Release Date

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands release date stands as March 25, 2022, and it seems to be making good progress to hit its target currently. The current pandemic has been ruinous for game developers and caused many projects to be pushed back, we don't know if that means Wonderlands initially had internal delays, but for now it's locked in for March.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Trailers

There have been a few trailers so far for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, from the announcement, to the gameplay reveal, and the new story trailer from The Game Awards 2021.

Many of the trailers have shown off the fantasy aesthetic, and the gameplay trailer managed to highlight the DnD inspired gameplay, which showed characters moving around a tabletop board with giant dice nearby. That same trailer also showed something a little new to the series, which is fantasy-based magical abilities which also have third-person animations to fully show the chaos.

The story trailer helped to illuminate what the general narrative of the game will be, and will follow the Fatemaker (the main character) as they fight to save the Wonderlands from a villain played by the charismatic Will Arnett. It also displayed Andy Samberg and Wanda Sykes characters, who will be playing heroes in the story.

Like the Borderlands games, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will be a first-person action role-playing game, that can be played solo or co-op with friends.

It's set in the same fantasy-themed tabletop game that Tiny Tina ran as the dungeon master in her expansion for Borderlands 2 called Assault on Dragon Keep, and it's supposed to take place directly after the expansion finishes. As explained above, the story will follow the player character, who is called the Fatemaker.

For the first time, the series has a full character creation feature, so players can create their one Fatemaker, and choose from one of six classes, which also have abilities that can be mixed and matched. It will also have the same procedurally generated loot of the past games, with tonnes of guns that can be used, along with melee weapons for the first time.

Due to the tabletop structure of the adventure, there is an overworld that is available and is used to traverse the world and go to various locations. This overworld map will also features unique quests and random encounters.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Platforms

The currently announced platforms for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands are the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and select PC platforms. For the new-gen versions, players will be able to access the Dragon Lord expansion pack and for people who pre-order there is the Golden Hero Armour pack.
