The Rarest Skins In Apex Legends
It’s customary at this point that the leading free-to-play battle royale titles have a deeply considered system for its cosmetic items. Apex Legends is no different, offering fans and players a huge line of skins, borders, weapon charms and more to the player through purchases, battle pass progression and loot boxes.
The game has an incredible line of unlockables, and the game will often offer skins and other cosmetics for a limited time or behind a specific goal or paywall to increase demand. This has been the case for a few skins, and as such, have become incredibly rare. Here are the absolute rarest that Apex Legends has to offer.
Apex Legends Rare Skin - Lifeline - Lifeline Bling
Lifeline Bling might look pretty unsuspecting, or even not at all that interesting, but that seems to be the exact reason that it’s stuck as one of the game’s rarest skins. It’s a recolour of the Peak Performer legendary skin, costing an extra 10,500 Legend Tokens on top of already needing to own the base skin, but as it’s a little underwhelming, very few players, actually picked it up. As a result, it hasn’t made a return since, and has become incredibly rare.
Apex Legends Rare Skin - Bloodhound - Great Winter
The recolour of the Bloodhound skin Imperial Warrior is a pretty one, with regal whites and golds running right through it. Its rarity stems from its last in-game appearance - Great Winter first appeared at the start of Apex Legends’ life cycle, and hasn’t reared its head again since March 2019. There’s no hint that it’ll return again soon, but if it does, jump on it quick.
Apex Legends Rare Skin - Octane - Red Shift
Similarly to the Great Winter skin, the slick Red Shift skin for Octane was available for a very limited time. The skin ran players 10,200 Legend Tokens, and required them to have bought the El Diablo skin too. It hasn’t made a return in some time either, so if you can catch this skin out in the wild, you’ll be one of a few.
Apex Legends Rare Skin - Bangalore - Outland Warrior
Bangalore has been left by the wayside when it comes to good quality skins, and many players feel as though her lineup of skins haven’t been good enough. But, at the very start of the game’s life cycle, she got one of the best in the game.
The Outland Warrior was released as part of the Wild Hunt event in Season 1 and hasn’t been available since. The skin is an infamous one as many are desperate to get their hands on it - but chances are it’ll never return again.
Apex Legends Rare Skin - Mirage - Lucky Charmer
It might only be of level 2 rarity, but don’t underestimate Mirage’s Lucky Charmer skin. It was available very early on in the Prime Gaming skin push, and was one to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in March last year. It’s unclear if it will return to the game any time soon, but given the theming of it, we don’t expect its return for a long time.
Apex Legends Rare Skin - Wraith - Airship Assassin
The Airship Assassin skin for Wraith is something of a notorious one. The skin was first available when the game first launched, only for its first month, only then to disappear. It’s reappeared since, but it’s not often that it does, and many fans come back to it in discussions of rare skins. A lot of fans are desperate for it to make a comeback, and it’s made the skin even more desirable.
Those are easily the top of the bracket for rare Apex skins, so now you can keep an eye out - and be sure to snag them if they come back any time soon. In the mean time, don't forget to check out the rarest Fortnite skins.
