The most obvious new gameplay feature of The Division Resurgence is that it is coming to a whole new platform, and the benefits that come with that. Expect to see the traditional gameplay of The Division you know and love, but on the go and whenever you want.

The Division Resurgence gives players a whole new perspective of the events of the first two games in the series, presenting an entirely new storyline, and a return to New York City from the first game after the departure to Washington D.C.

It brings forward the PvE experience that fans are accustomed to, in both solo and co-op play, against entirely new factions and challenging foes. Alongside this, players will get the chance to try out fresh gear, weapons, and classes in order to experience the game in a whole new light.

You can once again customise your character's appearance and bolster them with various different armour sets and cosmetics. Furthermore, you'll be working towards increasing your skills, so you can take down even the hardest of enemies.

Moreover, Ubisoft claims that The Division Resurgence is being optimised for mobile platforms, aiming for a smooth transition to handheld devices that hopefully shouldn't cause too much trouble for new and returning players to the series.

The Division Resurgence is currently scheduled to release on both iOS and Android platforms, with no other information about further console or PC releases. From what it seems, they want the game to be an entirely mobile-focused experience, built from the ground up, so it is unlikely that it will leave the handheld platform.
