The Sims 4 infants update release time
The Sims 4 team is rolling out a free infant update to all players, including the players who have received the base game for free - but what is the release time? The Sims 4 infants update will introduce the new infant life stage to the game to take place in between the baby and toddler life stages.

When will The Sims 4 infants update release?

The Sims 4 infants update is scheduled to release on March 14 at the following times:
- 10AM PT Pacific Time
- 6PM CET Central European Time
- 5PM GMT Greenwich Mean Time
- 1PM ET Eastern Time
- 2 PM AT Atlantic Time
- 4 AM AET (March 15) Australian Eastern Time
- 6 AM NZDT (March 15) New Zealand Daylight Time
- 12 PM CT Central Time
- 2 AM JST (March 15) Japan Standard Time
The update should automatically download when you launch the EA Play app, which has now replaced Origin as the official launcher for EA games.
If you use custom content or mods it may be worthwhile backing up your saves as new updates tend to interfere with them. As usual, you will need to re-enable custom content and mods in your game settings after uploading the update.
What is included in The Sims 4 base game update?

Other than the new infant life stage, there is a host of exciting content scheduled within the base game update on March 14. These include the following:
- More skin details within CAS mode including, birthmarks, stretchmarks, caesarean scars and more.
- A reorganised social interactions menu.
- Babies will also be getting an overhaul with options to diversify the general appearance of newborns.
- A new baby bassinet
- As well as expanded skin tones for babies, they will also get re-textured to make them appear more lifelike.
- The 'Show Off Baby' interaction should work more smoothly
- Queuing up interactions with babies should meld seamlessly without sim parents putting the babies into the bassinet in-between every interaction.
- Children and toddlers will have the 'Entertain' interaction option with babies.
- Sims will automatically go to check on babies when crying.
- Weather conditions will now affect babies.
- The baby life stage has been shortened to give way to infants.
- Surrogacy options to have a baby for others will be added.
