Ready or Not PvP is a tense affair, and the new SWAT and police simulation shooter is now available in a public alpha build. The game already features varying modes for players to take part in, and these will only grow as the early access version runs its course over the next year until release. If you want a breakdown of Ready or Not PvP, along with the other ways to play the game, read on.

There are currently a few Ready or Not PvP modes that players can take part in during the alpha build. Here are the following modes:

  • VIP Escort - The S.W.A.T team must escort a randomly-selected player VIP to an extraction point located within the level to win. The enemy team has to prevent them from completing this objective, and can intercept and recapture the VIP themselves. When the timer runs out, if the S.W.A.T team hasn't freed the VIP, then the enemy team will be victorious.
  • Arrest and Rescue - Both of the opposing teams have a set amount of lives, which can be increased by arresting enemy players using less-lethal equipment. You'll also be tasked with rescuing teammates who've been arrested themselves, with the first team to arrest the entire enemy team, declared the winner.
  • Team Deathmatch - Your basic and classic PvP game mode. Two teams face each other off by hunting each other down to kill one another, with a kill equalling a point. A twist for this game though, is that you can arrest an opponent to gain more points. The team that reaches the point limit, or has the most points after the timer ends, will win.

These appear to be the current crop of PvP modes that you can take part in while playing Ready or Not

Aside from the Ready or Not PvP options, there's also a single player campaign, and a cooperative mode where players can team up against the AI, instead of other players. The developers describe the campaign as "story-rich" and it follows the lives of S.W.A.T operators in a crime-ridden city on the brink of chaos.

That's our Ready or Not PvP breakdown, and now you should be familiar with the game's current crop of modes.
