Merit Points are crucial in Pokemon Legends Arceus for acquiring some important items, so understanding them is imperative if you want to complete the Pokedex for Arceus. While out exploring the regions of Hisui, you will occasionally stumble across Pokemon Legends Arceus Lost Satchels. These Lost Satchels are dropped by other players, or placed there for you if you are playing offline. What happens is, when a player is defeated they pass out and are revived back at camp. When this happens, the player drops some of the items they had on them. Those items aren't necessarily gone for good, though.

Should another player find their Lost Satchel, the items will be returned to the original owner. The kind soul who finds and returns the satchel is rewarded with Merit Points. The amount can vary, but most satchels will net you around 80 Merit Points. To claim them, after returning the satchel just open your menu, head to the Communications page and select Lost and Found. There you will see a list of returned satchels you have yet to claim. Choose one to get your reward!

Now that you have built up some Merit Points from all your good deeds, what do you do with them? You may have noticed a vendor in Jubilife Village called Simona. She has a small stall just west of Galaxy Hall. Simona has two jobs; firstly she serves as the trading hub for you to trade Pokemon with your friends. Her second role is to sell items for Merit Points.

The items she sells are almost exclusively evolutionary items. These are the items you give to specific Pokemon in order to make them evolve. These are exceptionally important items, and while many of them can be found out in the world, it is also good to have a method of purchasing them. They aren't cheap, though, most items will cost you 1000+ Merit Points each. So, if you really want that Jolteon and you haven't found a thunderstone, you best get out and find some Lost Satchels!

That's everything you need to know about Merit Points in Pokemon Legends Arceus! To put that knowledge to good use, why not check out our guide for Pokemon Legends Arceus Eevee, which includes where to find the fan-favourite Pokemon and how to evolve it into all of the Eevee-lutions.
