Niantic has announced that three more Ultra Beasts are coming to Pokemon GO! At each of the three in-person GO Fest events, a new Ultra Beast will spawn for event-goers before becoming available worldwide.

Additionally, Beast Balls will be coming to the game, and are the first new Poke Balls introduced since Premier Balls in Raids were added many years ago.

The next Ultra Beast in Pokemon GO is UB-02 Absorption, also known as Buzzwole, who will debut at Seattle's GO Fest. Often seen as a counterpart to Pheromosa, Buzzwole is also a Bug/Fighting-type

Seattle GO Fest is scheduled for July 22, 23, and 24.

During Seattle GO Fest, many of the same bonuses as Berlin are in effect. However, it's split into two parts. The first will take place from 9am to 1:30pm. The second portion takes place from 2:30pm to 7pm. Trainers will select which of these windows they want to spend in the "city experience" downtown Seattle and which they'd like to do in the Seattle Center, known as the "park experience."

For the entire event, the following bonuses are in effect:

  • Half hatch distance
  • Snapshot photobombs
  • Event-themed Field Research tasks
  • Stickers dropping from PokeStops and gifts

  • Shiny Panpour and shiny Combee will debut

  • Special Research will lead to an encounter with Sky Form Shaymin

These bonuses are in effect during the park experience:

  • Stardust discount on trades
  • Four rotating habitats with themed Collection Challenges

Finally, the city experience will feature these bonuses:

  • Nine daily Raid Passes from spinning Gyms
  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently
  • Grunts will reward two Mysterious Components when defeated

The last in-person GO Fest event takes place in Sapporo, Japan, and will introduce Xurkitree. This pure Electric-type Pokemon is referred to as UB-03 Lightning in the main series.

Sapporo GO Fest takes place August 5, 6, and 7.

Like Seattle, Sapporo's event is split into a park experience at Nakajima Park and a city experience. The morning experience (park or city, based on Trainer choice) will take place from 8am to 1:30pm, with the afternoon (the opposite experience of the morning choice) running 2:30pm to 8pm.

These bonuses are in effect for the whole event window:

  • Shaymin Sky Form will be available from a Special Research questline
  • Shiny Pansage and shiny Swirlix will debut
  • Cowboy Hat Snorlax and Unown A, B, E, L, R, S, T, and U will be available
  • Half hatch distance
  • Snapshot photobombs
  • Stickers from gifts and PokeStops
  • Event-themed Field Research tasks

For the park experience only, these bonuses will be in effect:

  • The maximum number of Special Trades that can be made per day will increase to six
  • There will be a Stardust discount on trades
  • Four rotating habitats with their own themed Collection Challenges

These bonuses will be available during the city experience

  • Up to nine daily Raid Passes from spinning Gyms
  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently
  • Defeating grunts will yield two Mysterious Components instead of one

Pokemon GO Beast Balls

As part of all this Ultra Beast mania, their unique Poke Balls, called Beast Balls, will be debuting in Pokemon GO. In the main series games, Beast Balls have a heightened catch rate when used on Ultra Beasts, but a very low catch rate on standard Pokemon.

It's unclear how they'll work in Pokemon GO, but they will be available to ticketholders for the in-person GO Fest events to help them catch Ultra Beasts for the Special Research questlines.
