How To Watch PlayStation State Of Play Stream: October 2021
Not sure how to watch the PlayStation State of Play stream this month? Worry not. Ever since Nintendo started their Direct conferences 10 years ago (oh god, are we old?), gaming companies around the world wanted a slice of the hype pie. It’s reasonable, in all fairness - because it works. Enter the PlayStation State of Play streams.
Gaming companies and developers lumping all of their big announcements into one conference makes for a brilliant chance for gaming fans to come together and watch the next big thing be unveiled - and PlayStation has been pretty good at that recently. Their last conference was remarkable, revealing our first look at God of War: Ragnarok’s gameplay, as well as reveals for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine.
And, it looks like they’re set to do it again, as another conference is coming very soon. Here’s how you can be there for what could be a historical presentation.
How To Watch The PlayStation State Of Play Presentation
The next State of Play presentation will air on October 27 at 14:00 in the UK, and will be broadcast from both the PlayStation Twitch and YouTube accounts. You can watch it on Twitch here.
The presentation is set to be about 20 minutes long, so it won’t carve out much of your day - but it’ll definitely be worth the watch.
What Will PlayStation Reveal In The State Of Play?
It has been stated by PlayStation that the presentation will focus on third-party games coming to the PS4 and PS5 - so if you were looking forward to more God of War: Ragnarok or Horizon: Forbidden West, you may well be out of luck.
Though, there could be some good reveals yet. We could see some new details come to light about Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042, as the games aren’t too far from release now.
A small look at the GTA Trilogy to coincide with its upcoming remaster could be on the cards too, along with some bonus footage from Grand Theft Auto III, as the game will be coming to PS Now upon release.
Plus, perhaps most excitingly - expect some new games you’ve never seen before. This could be Sony’s chance to catch up on Xbox’s championing of indie developers, but they’ll have to truly seize it if they want it to do well.
That’s all you need to know about the upcoming State of Play conference - we’ll see you there for the big reveals.
