Everybody loves it when the new PlayStation Plus games roll around, with new Essential titles to claim forever, and a bunch of hotly anticipated titles entering the PS Plus subscription library.

While some games will unfortunately leave the service, the addition of new experiences always gives you something to play, and I know I've discovered some of my favourite games in recent times through all three tiers.

All Essential PS+ games for April

  • Immortals of Aveum
  • Minecraft Legends
  • Skul: The Hero Slayer

We gave Immortals of Aveum a great score when we reviewed it at release, praising its stunning visuals, engaging combat, and ambitious story. You should definitely give it a try considering that it's free, as it is one of the most recent games to be added to the collection.

Alongside that, you can explore a different side to the classic Minecraft formula with Minecraft Legends, or dive into some action platforming action with Skul: The Hero Slayer.

Here are the April Extra & Premium PS+ games

  • Animal Well (launching May 9)
  • Tales of Kenzera: Zau (launching April 23)
  • Dave the Diver
  • Oddballers
  • Construction Simulator
  • The Crew 2
  • Raji: An Ancient Epic
  • Lego Ninjago Movie Videogame
  • Nour: Play With Your Food
  • Deliver Us Mars
  • Lego Marvel's Avengers
  • Miasma Chronicles
  • Stray Blade

All titles listed above will be available on April 16, apart from Animal Well and Tales of Kenzera: Zau, which will both arrive on their respective launch days.

It's always exciting to have two day-one titles joining the service, and both Animal Well and Tales of Kenzera: Zau are hotly anticipated - giving you even more to look forward to.

Joining them in the headliners for this month too is Dave the Diver, which was one of the most acclaimed games of 2023, and places you in the shoes of a deep sea diver and restaurant owner combined. It's definitely been one that I've kept my eyes on, so this month is the perfect time to take the plunge - both figuratively and literally in this case!

Classics Collection

In addition to the games highlighted above, there will be three PlayStation Classics games joining the PlayStation Premium service:

  • Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
  • Star Wars: Rebel Assault II
  • MediEvil
