Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals: Release Date, gameplay, trailers & more
Oxenfree 2: Lost Signal is the highly anticipated sequel to the critical darling Oxenfree first released in 2016. The original title is a thriller that follows a group of friends who are going for a party on a nearby, abandoned, island that was once used by the military.
The game takes a spooky turn as the story progresses, the foundation of gameplay explored through the conversations you can have as the game’s protagonist, Alex. Oxenfree 2 will be a continuation of the original game, which had a variety of different endings, so it will be interesting to see how the sequel picks up.

Oxenfree 2 is set to release July 12, 2023, on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC via Steam and Netflix Games.
Oxenfree 2 is available to pre-order now for $19.99 on the PlayStation Store ($14.99 if you have PlayStation Plus) and for $14.99 on Nintendo Switch.

Although technically a sequel to Oxenfree, you do not need to have played the original to get a grasp of the story in Oxenfree 2.
It has been marketed as a self-contained story following the adventures of Riley as she travels back to her hometown to uncover the mystery behind the disruptions in the town and eventually stumbles upon something supernatural in the process.
The game looks to set up the same ominous presence of its predecessor, with a story centred around unnaturally occurring electromagnetic waves which are causing TVs to turn on and off, radios to broadcast static and other electrical equipment to cut out in chilling ways. The sequel is a direct follow-on, but it picks up 5 years after Oxenfree.
The game also looks to expand upon its previous dialogue mechanics with a new walkie-talkie system you can use to talk to other characters in the game, as well as the ghostly beings struggling to get through to Camena.
Get to know people from Riley's past and make new friends or ignore them all and face the story's consequences.
The game's description promises features like the ability to travel into the past and manipulate the world around you in a bid to save it against the Parentage, a mysterious cult returning from the original Oxenfree.
