The Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel suit is one of the most unique customization options currently available in the latest entry in the Wii Sports franchise. Though players will typically find themselves playing as a brand new Sportsmate or an old-school Mii in Nintendo Switch Sports, this limited-time outfit allows players to embrace their wild side. Here’s everything to know about unlocking and using the Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel suit.

Players can obtain the Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel suit through an in-game rewards pack known as the Relaxation Collection. By playing online matches, players can rack up points that they can then use to access various items in the Relaxation Collection.

A number of items are available through this collection, including clothing, accessories, hairstyles, hair colors, stamps, and titles. However, obtaining the squirrel suit in this collection will not exactly be an easy feat, as it is the only item in the collection that cannot be purchased using points.

Instead, the Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel suit is a completion bonus. This means players can only obtain it after unlocking every other item in the Relaxation Collection first. Nevertheless, players should be able to unlock the unique customization option after a couple of successful hours of grinding online matches.

Like many other Nintendo Switch Sports unlockables, the Relaxation Collection is part of a series of temporary, rotating item packs. As a result, players have a limited amount of time to rack up points, collect items, and obtain their very own Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel suit.

The Relaxation Collection entered the game on May 11 and will rotate off at 10pm PT on June 1. While it is possible that the squirrel suit could return through another rotating item pack later on, players should try to get one before the Relaxation Collection goes away.

Because of this, players should make sure they have a Nintendo Switch Online membership and are playing online matches. Though the offline Trial Mode can be used to rack up points and unlock items, players can only receive two items a week through offline play. As a result, players will need to rely on online matches to have enough time to obtain all of the items in the Relaxation Collection.

After unlocking the Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel suit, players can then equip it by clicking on the coat hanger button in the main menu and going to the customization menu. From there, players can press the “Body” button and switch from a human body type to a squirrel body type.

Since the squirrel suit constitutes a brand new body, it is compatible with other collectibles and accessories. Although the squirrel cannot wear headgear or masks, it can equip other clothing items and glasses.

From there, players will be set to take their squirrel suit into the world of Nintendo Switch Sports. While the base squirrel suit is purple, it can also change colours at times. For example, the squirrel suit will change to blue or pink depending on the colour of the player’s team in Nintendo Switch Sports soccer.
