MultiVersus Lag: How To Fix

The lag problem isn't like the MultiVersus connection lost issue, where you receive an explanation of the problem, and instead, your game will just begin to lag for seemingly no reason. The issue can occur even if your internet connection is perfectly fine, and even if your hardware isn't broken, so if you do encounter lag, it's likely MultiVersus which is the problem. It's also affecting both PC and console users, and WB Games support has commented on the issue on Twitter, meaning an official fix is probably on the way. For now, though, there are some ways to temporarily fix the problem so you can continue to play unimpeded. Obviously, try restarting your game and your internet before doing these. 

Change Server Region

Making sure you are in the closest server region, or changing it to another nearby region if your current one isn't working well can fix the lag issues. To change the server region, click the gear icon on the left of the main menu, click Online/Legal, and then on the dropdown menu, select "Preferred Server Region." Here you can change the region to whatever you want. 

Lower Graphical Settings

This is only an option for users on PC, but altering your graphics settings to make them easier to run can help with the lag. Access the graphics settings from the main menu by clicking the gear icon, and then select Graphics. There are many settings to change, but we suggest lowering the resolution or overall quality.
