The Lost Ark Virtues system is another among many other elements of this game that you might need to spend some time on. Your character in Lost Ark needs these to get closer to some important NPCs in the game’s world and progress in a number of quests. Leveling up these attributes is the real challenge though. So here are all you need to know about Lost Ark Virtues and how to increase them.

Lost Ark Virtues: Why They Are Important

Virtues in Lost Ark are a set of stats divided into Wisdom, Courage, Charisma, and Kindness. Most of the points you earn for each Virtue are shared among the characters you have, although some others must be attained in each one of them, like the points you get from completing main quests. You can check how many Virtue Points you have in the Character Profile, Skins and Virtues tab.

In spite of not interfering with the damage you do or take, they have an important function in one of Lost Ark’s systems. Lost Ark Rapport rewards players that level up their relationship with NPCs. Throughout all continents there are specific characters that you can talk to daily and strengthen your relationship (that goes from Normal to Trusted) with them by giving gifts, playing songs, or completing quests. In case you want to check which NPCs are part of the system as well as what you can earn from it, all you need to do is to check the Rapport menu by pressing Alt+N.

However, to begin the rapport with some NPCs or advance their quests, you must have a certain quantity of Virtue Points. For example, to start Ealyn's rapport in North Vern you need 100 points of Wisdom and 100 of Kindness. Without levelling your Virtues, you can’t take advantage of the rapport system from which you can earn good items, such as cards, stats potions, and gold.

Even though Virtues are an essential aspect of your character in Lost Ark, they do not increase as you level up. On the other hand, there are several methods to get them higher which is a good side of it. None of the following approaches are better than the other, since you will probably have to go through most of them to hit big numbers in your Virtues. One possibility you have is to adapt them to how you play, shoehorning one or another between Lost Ark Dungeons or any other type of activity in the game.

The main source of Virtue Points for your character is the Adventurer's Tome. For each continent in the game, there are several activities you can pursue to earn good rewards, such as Virtue Points. First, there are the Lost Ark World Bosses that you can kill and earn points for a specific Virtue, such as Caspiel in Tortoyk which gives you +2 in Wisdom. The second part of the Adventurer's Tome you should focus on are the two Another Story quests. They appear as regular Yellow Quests on the map, but there are only two on each continent which are described in your Tome. In case you have already done one of them, the exclamation point in the Adventure Tome will be in yellow.

Additionally, your third source of Virtue Points is the Hidden Stories. These are secrets that you can find in each continent by following the tips in their descriptions or checking places like Maxroll. Regardless of what you choose, Hidden stories are pretty simple. Once you find their location, you can go and click on them to add the story to your tome.

Each Hidden Story description is mentioned how many Virtue Points you will earn by finding it and of which type. Keep that in mind in case you want to level up a specific Virtue. In the end, by completing all these different missions, your continental progression percentage will increase and give you some items. Depending on which continent you are in, you will receive a Virtue Points potion.

Since completing all you need in your Adventurer's Tome might take some time, there are other means to level up your Virtues that you can put in one mission or another. First, you can try to get achievements that will grant you Virtue Points. For example, the Courage to Everyone! achievement asks you to play 150 times the Song of Valor and as a reward, you earn a title that gives you +1 in Charisma. There is also the Scoring Sheet Music achievement from which you obtain the “Artiste” title that gives you +2 in Wisdom.

Other options you must keep in mind to reach higher Virtue numbers are Una’s Tasks, Islands, and Skins. The points you can get from the first two are described in the Codex, where you can look for Wisdom, Courage, Charisma, or Kindness Potions to see the list of missions you can complete and earn one of them. In case the description mentions you can get that potion from Reputation, it means completing the quests of Una’s Task. At the same time, there are other potions that you can get from some Lost Ark Islands, like the Isle of Yearning. Last but not least are the skins you have. This is the only method of leveling up your Virtues that will require spending real money. Each piece will grant you a number of Virtue Points, so you can change the skin you are using to increase one or another type.

By adapting your routine in the game to include one or two of the methods described here, you can get higher numbers of Virtue Points without too much trouble.
