Hundreds and thousands of players have jumped into Lost Ark since its launch, but players may want to know what the Lost Ark AFK timer is, so they don't get kicked from the game. Even now, the Lost Ark queues can still swell, so you'll want to keep your spot in the server. The Lost Ark AFK timer comes with a few options for players and lets you customise it somewhat, so read on to find how long it is, and where to change its settings.

By default, the Lost Ark AFK timer is only a measly 15 minutes, which is quite a short time for an MMO timer. Many others in the genre like New World, WoW, and Final Fantasy XIV all have timers that range from 25 to 30 minutes, along with warnings when you will be sent careening out of the server. With that said though, Lost Ark does have a game-changing feature that lets you customise your personal AFK timer.

Lost Ark allows you to tinker with the AFK timer in the settings menu, letting you set the exact amount of time you can AFK for.

From the main menu, if you navigate to settings, you can select the gameplay tab on the left side of the screen, then controls and display, which will show a series of different settings. Scrolling down roughly a quarter of the page will take you to the UI settings, where you can change the AFK settings.

The default timer of 15 minutes is the lowest you can set it to, but it maxes out at 60 minutes for those who need to stay away from their keyboards for a little longer.

Due to the volatility of the servers at the moment, and the huge queues that are only likely to increase as the weekend rolls on, we recommend that you change your AFK timer to 60 minutes the second you get into the game. Remember, it could be the difference between playing all day and sitting in a 10,000 strong queue for an unknown amount of time.

That's all for our guide on the Lost Ark AFK timer, and now you know the default value of the timer, along with how to change it, so you can don't suffer a server boot before you even get started.
