You can't come up with a solution if you don't understand the problem. As mentioned, the error in question can be quite vague, as there are multiple potential reasons why it will appear. In this case, we are looking at the various potential issues that can arise regarding your connection, whether that be on the server side or on your end.

More than likely, the issue is on the server side. This means there could be a problem with the server, or it could simply be that work is being done. If it isn't the server, then the issue is likely on your end. There could be a problem with your internet service provider, your router or your connection settings.

There isn't much we can do to fix a server issue, but there are steps we can take to deal with local problems.

The first thing you should do is check everything. Make sure your internet connection is working and all the wires are connected correctly. Even if they are, it can worthwhile to disconnect everything, and then reconnect. Also, restart both your modem and your PC. Give everything a chance to refresh and try it again.

If that doesn't work, our next port of call is to change some settings. Specifically, changing your DNS settings as that may be the cause of the problem. How you do this depends on what version of Windows, or whichever operating system you run, you are using. You should easily find instructions online for how to do this in your operating system, but the general idea is you need to go to your IPv4 settings and change the DNS values.

It is a good idea to take note of your existing DNS settings before changing them, if something goes wrong you can change them back. The settings you want to change to are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Give this a try, if the issue is on your end then it might just solve it.

If this doesn't work, then chances are the issue is on the server side. In that case, there is nothing to do but wait until the engineers at Riot fix the problem.

Those are all the tips we have for dealing with the League of Legends "Unable to connect to login queue" error. For more help with issues, check out how to fix League of Legends could not install dependency error.
