Back when Trek to Yomi's release date was revealed in early April, publishers Devolver Digital also announced that the game title would be coming to Xbox Game Pass the same day. This means players who want to dive into the story of Hiroki and experience the samurai action won't need to purchase the game. It's already available to preload for those who have purchased it or have access to Game Pass, so you can get ready to launch it the second it's released on May 5.

We have no idea how long it will be available on the subscription service for, but third-party titles are usually only available for a limited time before being taken off. So if you don't plan on purchasing Trek to Yomi but want to see what the hype is about, make sure to get around to playing it before it's removed from Game Pass. The previous Flying Wild Hog title - Shadow Warrior 3 - has been revealed as one of the first PlayStation Now titles for the rival Sony subscription service, so it's possible that Trek to Yomi could make the jump in the future.
