Final Fantasy XIV has a long and storied history - from the defunct original release being shut down in 2012, to its relaunch as the wildly successful (but not quite critically acclaimed) MMORPG "A Realm Reborn".

Despite having been able to play and enjoy on many platforms for several years (beginning with the initial launch for PC/PS3 in 2013), a PlayStation 5 port for FFXIV is coming soon, much to the delight of fans worldwide.

Will FF14 be on PS5?

The next-gen release of Square Enix's latest online instalment in the iconic Final Fantasy series gives players an open MMO world of adventure, complete with raids, missions, and jobs. The Playstation 5 release of Final Fantasy 14 drops on May 25, 2021.

Final Fantasy XIV also boasts enhanced framerates, 4K resolution, fast loading times, haptic feedback features, and 3D audio for its PS5 release.
