How To Redeem Steam Codes

If you are playing video games on PC, you'll want to know how to redeem Steam codes. Without the faff of disc-based games, codes are a nice and simple way to get straight into the action. How To Redeem Steam Codes: Activate A Product

Obviously the first step in how to redeem Steam codes is to launch Steam and log into your account. Once you have all of that booted up, you'll want to hit the Games tab up the top, which will open a drop down menu. In the drop down menu there will be a few selections, but you should go for "Activate a Product on Steam". This will take you to a screen informing you that you will need the Steam code. Select next and then "I Agree" when the Steam Subscriber Agreement is shown.

How To Redeem Steam Codes: Enter The Code

Now that you have gotten through the first part of how to redeem Steam codes, all you really need is the code itself. The code will be either 15 or 25 letters, or 17 letters and numbers. Enter the code and press next again. By this point you have redeemed your Steam code, but it isn't the last step before playing the game. 

Now back out into the menu and head into your library. Scroll down or search for the game you've just redeemed the Steam code for. Select the game and you will be given a prompt on the lower bar, which details play time and last time played, and select "Install". After the download period, you should now be able to play your game.
