The Halo Infinite weapon offset setting can be extremely useful for positioning your weapons in a way that suits you. 343 Industries have taken the time to give Halo Infinite the most customisable and comprehensive settings menu in the franchise to date. These aren't exclusive to PC either, as players on Xbox can also specify the game to their tastes and preferences. If you need the rundown of what the Halo Infinite weapon offset setting does and how to change it to your liking, read on.

Why not check out the best Halo Infinite weapons while you're at it?

Halo Infinite Weapon Offset: What Does It Do?

Essentially, weapon offset refers to the positioning of your weapon in the first-person view, allowing you to manipulate how central or close to the camera your weapon appears. This can give it the effect of making your weapon bigger or smaller, which will allow you to see more or less of the screen, depending on your preference. This will especially appeal to players who use smaller monitors or play close to their screen, and tinkering with the settings enough can give a huge boost to your perception. Here's an example of the weapon offset being changed below.

It's also worth noting that there are specific offsets for each weapon type; pistols, rifles, heavy weapons, and melee being the available categories. Sadly, there is no breakdown for the actual weapons themselves, as within a category a weapon's size can change drastically, such as the difference between the Energy Sword and Gravity Hammer. However, the Halo Infinite weapon offset is still a much-needed setting for some, that benefits accessibility and people's preferred way of play.

Halo Infinite Weapon Offset: How To Change It?

Changing the Halo Infinite weapon offset is as simple as navigating to the settings menu. In there, you'll find different sliders that adjust the positioning of your weapon across different axis'. To find it, open the 'Settings' menu > select 'UI' > then scrolls down and select 'Weapon Offsets' > this will give you the dropdown to select which weapon type to alter > then you can use the sliders to adjust the horizontal, vertical, and depth settings.

The three sliders all range from -100% to +100%. The horizontal setting will change where the weapon is positioned from left to right. The vertical setting alters how far up or down the weapon sits in your view. While the depth setting changes how close or far away the weapon is positioned from your camera. When changing these settings, you can drastically change your in-game first-person view, for example putting the weapon far away and down to the right which gives you more room to see enemies on your right side. Paired with the field of view (FOV) slider too, you can offset your weapons even more as the depth perception of a low FOV differs from a high one.

So that's how to change your Halo Infinite weapon offset. Remember that these settings are highly dependent on your preferences, so it's worth jumping into a bot match or private match and altering each offset until you're happy. It's also worth doing if you play competitively, as players will be changing even the most mundane settings to give them any edge over competition.
